| I've done a fair bit of iPhone programming (mainly for web services interaction & custom UI & controls design / development in Quartz), but feel rather crippled in regard to game programming without even a basic understanding of where to begin to learn OpenGL-ES. Does anyone have good book recommendations so I can rectify this deficiency and bust out some of these game ideas I've had? |

+25 Internets | haven't got around to reading them yet so I don't know how good they are, but I have Apress Iphone Games Projects as a pdf i was going to read. Seems more like a case study book though. also Oolong Engine might have some information, its an opengl engine for iphone. Hopefully Buckaroo has more info on it since it was used to make Kids V Zombies. |

+25 Internets | Anyone got any experience with the community portals that seem to be popping up for iphone game, such as open feint? Seems like its a no brainer decision to join up with one as a developer, but picking the right one might be a little trickier. |

| Just a question What would stop me from buying a game I put on Itunes 10,000 times to get myself on the popular lists? Id get a % of that 10,000 back + a shit ton of sales just for being on the popular pages. wouldnt that be a surefire way to make money? |

| You'd have to create 10,000 iTunes accounts to go along with it, but if the process could be automated I don't see why not. In fact, make it free. Then there's no cost at all to you. |

| I'm still starting, but it's such a slow process for me. Every time I fire up xcode I feel like I could be 20x more productive in visual studio, just because I have problems dealing with all the damn windows xcode decides to open up. |
