Someone needs to make a decent 'MMO' type game on the Iphone that doesnt need fucking 'respect' points.

CozyQuest had potential, till I realised how it was doing the same thing over and over and over......

That's great to hear. I bitch out all of my underlings (about 25 directly, bout 65 more indirectly) regularily for watching/playing random shit on their touches/phones, so when I showed the free version to a few of my team they played it all day last week during a system update.

Just an FYI, all adjustments to lists and postings are made on tuesdays. I'm honestly not sure if the staff lists are set by a certain team, or if they just pull numbers from our ID's but regardless it'll update tuesdays. So any big advertising or word of mouth push you plan to do should be planned to hit friday> monday because the numbers roll over tuesdays (so a sun > thurs boost would do fuck all).

I will look into how the staff favorites App list gets posted though to see what factors effect keeping an app front paged (when not on the top 5/10 lists), but I'd be very surprised to hear it was anything other than just numbers.

Every MMO has potentiial until you realize how you're doing the same thing over and over. =)

I'd be interested to see this ported over to the G1. My roommate has an Iphone and I'll get him to download it.

Im enjoying CQ. It is a bit of a grind overall, but I think the game within a month or two will be pretty good overall. I like that the developer is adding to the game daily though. I do wish we had some more alternatives to this though.

As to how it's going, not much to say!
We went from about 300-400 a day to about 10-15 a day. We have no 'marketing' so nobody can really find the game.
I'm both boggled and frustrated as to how to make it a viable market to sustain a business, since the developers are really quite helpless and Apple has all the power to make them successful or fail.
This test that Popcap did sums it up pretty well.
At least I am able to buy a new iMac with the earnings!

I enjoyed those levels, great game. More fun than Flight Control.

We discussed rolling it over to the Pre! But I doubt it's going to happen.
