Yeah, there are a few 'options' i'd like to add in. Like the ability to turn off vibrate when you get hit, etc.

I bought it and will give you a review later. Though I recommend since it was so close to the 10 meg download limit to get it under it for people like me, who buy games because I am bored and usually forget about them if it requires me to use wifi to download it when I get home.

THanks for the review Blood. And you actually bring up a great point. You're the second person to mention that, so we downsized it just enough to get it under 10 megs. However we're going to wait until our free version goes up (hopefully the end of the day or tomorrow). Because once we put up a new version, we 'lose' all of our ratings. And right now, I'm trying to get as many as I can. =)
In fact, anyone who bought it, please rate it! I'm looking for ratings more than the money! =)

Already gave it a 5 star review telling people it was an awesome game. Im still playing it for an hour or two a day.

Glad she's diggin it. Thanks for all the support guys. =) We really think we have a winner here, and we put so much time into it, i'm going to be bummed if it vanishes into the dungpile with 'pop my zit' and the like.
We also just got our free version approved. So if people are curious how it plays, this will give a better gauge than screenshots.

I work at one of iTunes NA Tech support sites. I can't do anything to edit your rating, but I'll see if I can spread the word some. Theres probably 700 iphone users in the building.

What is the $100 dev kit? I've been looking at gettin a mac mini to play around with iphone development (unless I can get this osx86 vm working) and from what I can tell apple lets me download the SDK for free. Is it just to have a super official "developer account" that costs money? Also, if anyone has any tips on getting an osx86 vmware image working on vista x64 I'm all ears. I found one that will boot, but then no networking means I can't do anything. I'm about to walk through this guide, but if anyone else has run into that problem before that'd be awesome.

Ferr, man i'd LOVE any help in that department. 700 people downloading the free version would make my year.

Candiarie, yeah i believe you pay the money just so you can put it up on the App store. Unfortunately, i'm the art guy, so I don't know much about the programming side of things.

So it's pretty exciting, 2 days after releasing our free version, we were put on the front page of the iTunes store and are the #1 staff favorite. Sales went from about 30-40 a day to 320 yesterday.
Still not in that 'epic' ballpark yet, but I'm hoping that this is the right path!

Did you roll your own engine or build on top of acquired technology (like torque or unity or something?)

I'm in the process of creating my own iPhone engine right now, having a friend do the artwork and stuff... for sure its a long process but I'm learning so much by taking on this project.

Sorry, since i'm not on the programming side of things the best i can do for you is this post from my partner who posted on a different board about something similar:

Regarding Oolong modifications, we used these main Oolong components:
- Math
- ModelPOD
- Texture (loading from PVR format files)
- Sound Engine (originally from Crash Landing SDK demo)
- Resource (file loading)

We rolled our own timing and 2D UI code, as well as Open GL rendering utilities. Oolong's input code is one of its weak points.

The most important modification was stripping down the ModelPOD animation code to not use caching and to pre-compute all bone parent transforms. iPhone turns out to be quite slow at Matrix multiplication, and so we essentially got rid of the bone parent tree on animation load.

In the end, we were able to get about 8500 polygons onscreen at 18-25 FPS and 1 light source. We also squeeze in three light sources with fewer zombies (polys) onscreen.

Level authoring was done in Excel (one row per wave of enemies) and exported to a data file.
