| Artist needed I need someone to draw me a title screen. The name of my game is Vanya Sulie. The name is Tolkien elvish for "Fair Winds" if that gives any more inspiration. The man protagonist in the game is the living embodiment of mother nature so I would like to have the title screen very earthy, maybe a forest scene with a little creek running through it. Also a 'mother nature' character can be included in the picture but doesn't have to be by any means. I do need the game's name to be included. Any artist that helps on the project will get full credit for their work. Also if I distribute my game I will financially reward the artist who helps me out. I have some other things I need done but I wanted to start with this to see what someone who is interested in helping me can do.

| Figured I'd put in a SSs of my game world here for people to see too. This is one of my over land maps. It will also have another for the demon lands. If you look at the top left island you will see a white block.. that is the players size in relation to the rest of the world. The over land map is bigger than any NES game map not including the demon world one will be about half this size. So yeah it is a pretty big undertaking. But I am having a lot of fun doing it. I have all the weapons, items, magic spells, and abilities in the game already. Still need to do armor and accessories... as well as over haul the monster database. But to do too much more I will need to either start drawing sprites for myself or find some one interested in doing it. A lot of the weapons I have need to have their graphic up graded as well as I need new monsters and a few special boss graphics. I wish I could draw but I have a hard time free handing stick figures lol. EDIT SNES should have been NES :-)

| It can be in any format. The title screen doesn't have to be in 8-bit. It can be as colorful and realistic as you want to make it.

| Figured I could go ahead and lay out my game's story here while I was at it so people could see where it is going. The game starts out with Vita Tribuo, the Goddess of Life, creating the hero. You get to name the hero at this point. Also Vita Tribuo is Latin for Life Giver. After you pick your name she tells you that a force is being formed by an enemy of Life. She tells you that she has given you life in order for you to get powerful and defeat this evil. She then tells you to seek out the Crystals of Life in the Towers of Destiny so that they may help you grow strong enough to defeat this menace. She then teleports you to an island outside the town of Timis. As you get more powerful you will go to different Towers of Destiny and talk to different Crystals and get helpful items from them. Like the first one gives you the key to the teleporter room in Timis so you can leave and go to Limpopo. They will also lead you to believe that the evil Vita was talkign about is a person named Camerous. As you go along you'll meet up with a priest named Alandra, then a paladin named Danadin, then an assassin named Tatalina. These will be your main characters till lvl 50 or so. At around lvl 50 the player should have made it to the Camerous' castle. When they do they will have a fight with Camerous. Camerous will try to tell the hero that he is being mislead but the hero won't listen. During the fight if Camerous is reduced to 20% he will stop the figth and tell the hero he has proof. He brings out an item and uses it on the pally and the pally turns into a fairy! Or if Danadin's health is reduced to 20% the fight will be automatically over and he will turn into a fairy on his own because he is close to the item Camerous ahs. He then calls on Vita to come help him. When the item used on Danadin flashes the hero has a moment where he puts together all the hints and stories that he has heard from all the places he has visited and knows Camerous is right. Vita wasn't talking about Camerous when she said a powerful evil was growing... she was talking about man kind! Vita confirms this and Camerous joins the hero's party. Vita then transforms Danadin into a chimera and then has him attack the party. After the party defeats Danadin Vita takes him and leaves. Camerous then tells the party about an object he had found that could take them to a place where they can get a weapon able to defeat Vita and save mankind. The party agrees. The hero uses the item and is teleported to the plain of the dead. Here they must fight through undead minions to get to a castle in the middle of the plain. When they get there they are met with a barrier they can't cross. A man there tells them they must beat death it's self if they wish to enter the castle. He also tells them that death wonders the plain and if they roam enough he will find them. So the party goes back to the plain and keeps killing till death shows up. After they beat him he gives them the Widow maker. It is an unequipable sword. With this they head back to the castle and the barrier is gone. As they make their way through the castle they have to fight demons and liches and other powerful magic users. At the very top is Nexadon, King of the Damned. Nexadon is a the physical manifestation of Letum. Nexadon is Latin for Death Bringer. Letum is Latin for Death. After the party defeats Nexadon, Letum appears. He tells the party that since they have defeated his physical vessel one of them must take his place. Camerous agrees to do it if he can help the hero defeat Vita. Letum agrees and transforms Camerous into Nexadon. He then gives the hero the sword of Death, Wormwood. Only this sword can weaken the shield around Vita enough to let the party stand a chance at beating her. He then send the party back to the land of the living and onto Veta's Island. The party must fight their way into her castle and up to the very top where they must fight an even more powerful version of Danadin. After they beat him they use his teleporter to go to the Plain of Life. There they meet Veta again. The party beats her but when it does a huge cry is heard from the planet. The Planet is dying! Letum appears and says if one of the party doesn't agree to become Veta then the whole planet will die. Alandra agrees to become Veta and become the Goddess of Life. After she agrees Alandra is transformed. She then turns to Tatalina and asks her to be the Queen of Life. She agrees and is transformed. Veta/Alandra says she must leave to go repair the damage that has been done to the planet. Nexadon and Tatalina talk for a min and agree that they should reward the hero for what he has done. So they agree to make him the King of Mankind and set up his reign for as long as he wants it. Death will never come for him and him and all his fmaily will always be healthy. The game ends as the hero finishes building his castle and Nexadon and Tatalina along with Limus and Veta stand as he takes his throne.

| Well it's been almost 2 months now.. anyone got anything? I am about 1/4 way through the game now. It's turning out to be a huge under taking so it's taking me a little longer than I thought to finish it. I would rather it took me longer and it be right and good than to rush it just to have it done though. :-) Looks like to complete the whole game, that includes all the discovery and side quests stuff, will take some where in the neighborhood of 60 - 70 hours to complete... so it's right on target for what I was after play time wise. When I hit about 50% complete I'll put it up for you guys to DL and see what you think. Would be good to get feed back so I can fix what needs to be fixed before it is too big hehe

| I also changed the World Map a lot. I added an ice land to it as well as moving some of the cities around. I also changed the beginning of the game. I didn't like the whole non-living construct part so I changed it to you start out trying to become a great swordsman like your father asked you to do on his death bed. Later you will start to do quests to help different people that are actually working for Mother Nature. You will go after the "bad guy" just like before and then those events will play out and the end of the game will be the same. I just thought the whole being non-human and all that was too convoluted so I simplified it. World Map of Minthia

| Campari sent me a picture for my Title screen. I think it's perfect. It's a fuzzy pic of what appears to be a coast line. It is a simple piece but seems to draw you in and really fits my game I think. Great work Campari. I will post it here for all to see.

+8 Internets | So, yeah. That image above was just something I whipped up really quickly to start getting some ideas moving in this thread. It's basically just a rough concept design so if anyone has cool ideas up things that could be changed, moved around, added, etc., please post them. ![]() |

+38 Internets | Camerous: I think the story is cooler with the hero being a creation of Vita, but it needs to come into play in the plot at some point. You could have the hero struggle with whether or not Vita IS right in what she wants to do. If he ultimately decides to save humanity despite not being a human himself, it's much more interesting imo. Then, when he becomes the king, he could sort of be this immortal protector of all life, including humans. |
