| Kingz of the Hillz (Working title) Game Overview Philosophy Listed below are the 3 main philosophies that should be applied during the game creation and any post modifications.
Common Questions What is the game? It's a mixed bag of King of the Hill and Tides of Blood. There are 2 teams with 10 heroes total and auto spawned armies. In the middle of the map are 4 unique hills. Each hill gives the team a special ability and/or unit when the team controls the hill. As long as the team maintains the hill they keep the unit and/or ability. If the other team captures the hill the unit and/or ability is immediately removed and given to the new kings! Where does the game take place? In a magical land where Janis Dickenson is a raving bitch banshee and her nemesis ,Star Jones, can eat people. The map was created using the sunken temple theme. What do I control? A hero. Also players will have the ability to purchase additional units to use in battle. What is the main focus? Teamwork and execution. A single player cannot win this game, but can ruin it for the team. What's unique about this game? I've never played a game with the combination I'm proposing. I want the player to laugh, scream, and rejoice during and after the game. Progress

| i honestly don't think anyone from the battle.net crowd gives a fuck about janice dickinson or star jones. most of them probably don't even know who they are. i think you could do a lot better with that aspect of the game. |

| So it is aeon of strife / dota, except that you get a massive advantage for doing well early game? Don't bother with custom art... always looks bad and makes for a massive map size.

| They also probably don't know who Vinh Tran or Ben Tarr Cat are either. Lore comes in a distant 2nd for a game that should last 20-30 mins max. If somone, other than myself, finds it funny that's great, but I doubt they'll stop playing if the game is fun.

| I respectfully disagree with you. Lore is not a "distant 2nd". If DOTA had heroes that were named after real life retards and they had abilities like "The Breath of Rice", then no one would have played that game. Have you ever heard of immersion? Buy a game design book and look it up. |

I'm designing a game that should be non stop action. Eventually people will associate "Drink your milkshake" automatically with lifetap. It's not a priority of mine to think of the most bad ass character name and lore when I much rather focus on the player enjoying the gameplay.

| Not that I disagree with the map-maker making whatever they want, but I'd personally have to agree with some of the others. But that's probably more because that's how I prefer to make maps. There are some pretty popular maps that have goofy elements (Hell, in the most popular Footman Wars, half the heroes are named after the guy's friends), and I still enjoy playing them. In the end, the map won't be worth making unless you make it how you want. Also, if I'll try and work on the hill triggers some more and send it to you. They keep me pretty busy here, but if I get time I'll try yo finish them. they basically work, although there's 1-2 bugs I need to work out.
