+24 Internets | Woo. Lots of suggestions to go through. I posted in this forum cause I it's usually pretty slow going and I figured any other place the thread would wind up on like page 5 by the time I got back to it. I underestimated the power of Mytoss I guess. I knew there was a high amount of umm… rash… people to work from here but seeing them listed in one thread kind of puts things in a new perspective. Anyway other thoughts since I don't have new pictures to post yet. I kind of want to keep the game playable for someone who has never been here before and won’t recognize the references. Er basically like my brother. He is someone who plays about every RPG that ever existed (like Sean perhaps only not quite as big of a variety), so I’d like for him to be able to play it and have it be pretty coherent. Or even anyone here if they aren’t up to snuff on everything. So I want the FOH trivia references completely obvious and not watered down but you wouldn’t have to actually know it for the game to make sense. Mytoss, for example, if you’ve never been witness to one of his glorious posts before would just appear like a really funny ADD kid off his meds, but still a completely believable character (as believable as possible anyway). Of course, I don't believe anyone is quite as extreme as Mytoss, so the rest should be a walk in the park. I don’t want anyone who’s never been to the FOH boards actually realize that they’re playing through a giant freakshow attraction if that makes sense though. Something like a lunatic dual wielding bats, is fine but I’d need to figure out a reason for him to be doing so. I was thinking he might be a good candidate to work something along the lines of Ultros in Final Fantasy VI. Maybe something early on occurs that pisses him off then throughout the entire rest of the game he pops in at unexpected times to challenge you/try to bully you for whatever reason. I could probably even upgrade him to be even more rediculous each time you come across him. I’d have to refresh myself on Blaezenfury trivia to make certain it actually fits inside a Blaezen-esque framework to make it work. I don't think he'd be really useful for pushing any of the actual plot, and would rather just be kind of his own side thing. I’m kind of surprised Khorum didn’t get mentioned earlier. He was one of my first choices, along with Wolfen, Mytoss, and Sam Deathwalker. Every time he posts I picture him as the Drill Instructor from Full Metal Jacket, because of the way he capitalizes certain words for emphasis and tosses in insults. I don’t think I’d want to make him as some sort of “Sarg” character, but I also don’t really know how I would design him. There’s probably something based on his political views I could use since he’s mostly known for that. Only real problem other than his character’s design would be that I’m not sure I can write well enough to do his dialogue justice. 1920x1200 Wallpaper sized ones of those first two. If you’ve seen a few shops in your day you might notice some pixels because I did have to upscale them a little bit, but they aren’t too bad on my shitty CRT. Dark Millie Mytoss I'm under a semi-tight Friday deadline at work, so I might not get anything new done till around the weekend or so. I'll probably do a Millie with one of those dog type pictures. Kind of overdue for one I think. Millie's don't require any thought to draw like original character concepts do. ![]() P.S. This thread should be 'shawed so that Mytoss can post his poems in it if he wants to. ![]() EDIT: P.P.S. Damn, I didn't even know who that Jestor guy was. I'll have to check out his other posts. If he's kind of known, I might have Kefka's laugh somewhere for him. If I don't I'm sure its out there on teh googles somewhere. The serial killer thing with the love that jestor calling card I think is actually pretty funny. I don't think this place has a whole lot of other really creepy people like that either - so he could be useful. ![]() Last edited by Laladilya; 12-06-2007 at 02:50 AM.. |

| Mytoss should get into a serious altercation and his sword should catch on fire and probably sing (cause his sword is made of wood and God gave tree's free will as well) and he should surprisingly become very powerful and destroy his adversaries and then go back to being seemingly clueless and harmless

+24 Internets | ROFL man you weren't kidding. That is indeed some cold hearted terror. I almost feel like I need to get in the shower and curl up in a fetal position on the floor and cry for hours after watching that. I'd really like to put him in the game but it'd be hard to not just make him seem like a joker ripoff but still represent him as sadistically as possible. =/ |

+32 Internets | Sam needs to be a puppetmaster hidden from view by a heavy layer of clothes, controlling thousands of tiny marionettes which are fairly weak on their own but defeat their opponents by attecking en masse. |

+37 Internets | If you put me in the game I am a time-traveling assassin who comes from an alternate future where Mytoss was assassinated before he could complete his mission. This resulted in a chain of events that led to the downfall of modern civilization as America became more and more corrupt and began experimenting with more brutal forms of control over the population. Grave travels back in time to the present where the game takes place, his mission to seek out Mytoss and prevent his assassination. The kicker? HE was the one who was ordered to assassinate Mytoss to begin with. To prevent the future, he must be willing to defeat himself, and possibly erase his own existence. ... ![]() |

| I kind of agree with the idea of not making the game too much of a "who's who on fohguild.org" type of thing. A normal RPG that happens to have the occasional board reference is preferable, IMO, to a nonstop fohguild.org shout-out list somehow in the form of an RPG. Perhaps a better way to make references to people is through itemization? Naming items after certain people will prevent you from having to drag the game's storyline down with nonstop board-based characters. |
