+13 Internets | Taking applications for Lead positions I'm taking applications for the following lead positions in the upcoming Project 2: -Art -Gameplay Design -World Design -Lore -Sound and Music -Coding (assistant lead) If you wish to apply for the positions, send me a PM with your details, Name, position applying for, experience, why you want the position, what your strengths and weaknesses are. The Lead positions is basically managing and overseeing the department. You should know all that tasks that need to be done, who is working on what tasks at the moment, and also an idea on who is going to be working on what in the future. You should also provide a guiding hand for everyone in the department to remain consistent with each other. This is most evident in Art, where and overall art style needs to be developed, but also pertains to the other areas. Becoming a Lead means focusing on that department totally. So if you're a coding who is hoping to do some design work sometime, then lead position is probably not the best bet. There will be some leeway, but you should really want to be working on tasks in that department, first and foremost. Ideally, I'd like people to compile weekly reports on how tasks are progressing in each department, but we'll have to see how that goes. if its too much extra work and if its needed or not. Likely it would be nice to have Lead position write blogs to help keep our adoring fans informed, but we'll decide on that later. All this should be in addition to actually doing some of the tasks that need to be done within the department, and no doubt will usually be the boring ones no one else wants to do. There's no great reward for these positions, but if you want to step up and take a little more responsibility and have a little more control on the direction that things go, this is the perfect opportunity. Also, while I'm hoping to set things up so that everyone is going to get recognition for their work, Lead positions are always going to be more visible, and this attract more attention, both good and bad, for what is produced. Once lead positions are selected, I'll discuss with them whether they need an assistant lead for their department, and how to select them. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in this thread, but remember, applications should be sent as PMs to me. Good Luck everyone! |
