+4 Internets | Need 3d Char Modelers and Animators One of the things we have a shortage of (and by shortage, I mean zero) are people who want to do 3d character modeling and animation. We need a couple of models for the project. Some of them would make fantastic learning tasks. If you are interested, reply, pm, or show up in irc. Thanks Fattyfat/Brain |

| 3ds Max 9/Maya these are both commercial products but are widely used and very feature heavy. But can be hard to learn without a good book, or online tutorials, but there are lots of resources online for that. If you can procure it through 'other means' they are great programs. I just started learning 3ds max myself, it comes with its own basic tutorials and I think some advanced ones. If you don't want to go that route Blender is a good free 3d modeling/animation program. Obviously the commercial ones have a few more features, but Blender is good in its own right and I think can be imported into Maya/3ds max |

+2 Internets | I have vast experience in 3d modeling - and what I would recommend in the case for this type of project would be Blender. Not only because it's free (which in itself should be the upside) - but it coincides with the Bullet physics engine so that you can use direct physics simulations right in Blender without worrying about implementing it elsewhere for testing purposes. | I've been mucking around with Torque Constructor. I haven't done any 3D modeling before but if you have some simple interiors that you need built I wouldn't mind trying to build something. Maybe I'll start with a farmhouse or guard tower or something to learn how to use Constructor. |

| Contact Sceleris. He should even have a board account.

| Any specific monster breed/types you are looking for? I plus many more people I know in a game design program have lots of different models made and even some have their boning done with a few animations. When i have time ill try to get a ss of a basic snakeman ive been working on for an animation project. That is if there is any interest. (btw, we use 3ds max 7 currently but should be getting version 9 in a month or so.) |

+4 Internets | We have a few people working on a couple character models, a vampire and an orc. I'm not sure how far along they are now though. We could probably use zombies, skeletons, and a goblin. Character models are a little harder though because they need to support a bunch of different animations. We do have some reference characters so you can see the names of the nodes, mounts, and anims. |
