| Gameplay Theory-Skillset Discussion. Heres my go at one. Magic Shields. Some self only, some castable on others. Magic Shields, admittedly, are a rip off from the shamans Lighting Shield. A certain ammount of charges, or set time limit with a random proc factor to it, depending on the type of shield. All require the shielded to be hit. Be a GREAT support class, IMHO, and one could almost make it similar to a shaman form eq1, except using the shield mechanic. Some healing (would suffice for an exp group), lots of support, mostly on the "Imma make you useless, fool" kinda thing. This skillset (or fuck, if you went with a class system, this could actually be a class in and of itself, with only a handful of actual direct target spells) Some sample abilities: Flame Shield: The player is surrounded in wisps of dancing flame, harming all who attack him (standard DS) Flame Burst Shield: Six Charges, 1 hour duration. The shielded is surrounded in six huge swirling balls of flame. Randomly blowing up when hit. Stone Shield: Rocks swirl around the player, randomly blocking attacks for 2 minutes. Water Stream Shield: The player is healed for X ammount of damage each time he is hit. Water Globe Shield: 12 Charges. Player is healed for X ammount of damage each time he is hit. (Alternatively, player is healed for a much later X ammount of damage randomly when attacked) IMHO, this lends itself BEST to a support skillset, and not a fully fleshed out class.

| I like this idea and agree it sounds like it would work very well for support classes. Something that could either be a very powreful self only buff, or a mediocre group / single target buff. |
