+25 Internets | question for coders (MV related) Reading through this tutorial Platform Tutorial Defining Mobs - Multiverse it seems that simply putting mobs into the world involves are fair bit of typing. How hard is it for someone (one of us) to program a gui interface to streamline this process and make it a more drop and drag, select options from list type setup? Likewise for tools and quests really. Would it be easier for people to just learn how to do it manually while waiting for MV to release gui based tools? |

+2 Internets | It wouldn't be hard for basic template stuff, with mobs especially having a [browse] button to just find the files and get all the patchs correct would be nice but I'm not sure how much quicker it would make things in the end. |

+20 Internets | I'v downloaded multiverse and got my own (local) server running to try this stuff out. The world editor seems to have a way to define mobs, but its a bit buggy, and very basic. I'm going to mess around with it some more today and let you know if its possible to do in the world editor, otherise, yea, its a lot of typing heh. IMO we should learn the code, since giving mobs our own 'flavor' will require modifying the code anyways. |
