+19 Internets | Lesson 1: You are not Red-Cross certified, leave the victim alone and call for help. Seriously, I don't think we should be teaching people how to do first-aid. Maybe we should look into proper grammar, I know a lot of people on these boards could benefit from it. I can't remember which MMO I was playing, might have been FFXI beta, but all the translations were engrished out, was quite funny. EQ developed my RL sense heading, no joke. I can navigate like nobodies business. |

| I'm certified (or was, I haven't renewed it in forever) in advanced FA and Search and Rescue and I have a Nurse for a girlfriend.

+4 Internets | Embedding education into gaming should be a no-brainer... there are so many ways that it could be used, implemented, supported, etc. One thing that I've noticed is that younger children are more capable of learning than public schools give them credit for. Mixing gaming with education would push the limits on how fast a child could learn certain topics... and provide a path that wasn't influenced by the anomalous quality of the teacher. |

+2 Internets | I used to chuckle whenever I could give a random answer thanks to civilisation 1 and 2. AoE to some extent too :P Theres alot of potential learning for such things. A game that uses all countries on the Earth mapped out, such that over time you'll eventually familiarise yourself with every country/capital.

| I'm contemplating the hilarity of releasing an attempt at a true to history middle eastern biblical era expansion and seeing the furor over whose 'version' was followed. Mossad might take out the servers. |

+19 Internets | I don't think we necessarily have to make like a lesson plan for getting people to learn shit. If we use real-world terms and have correllating text/effects, should be enough. Maybe have an in-game Wikipedia? |

+32 Internets | Hey, Self Aid Buddy Care isn't a half bad idea. Teaching the 9 year old playing your game how to prevent a sucking chest wound going from bad to worse is the ultimate in gaming. We're talking John Rambo shit here, guys. Could tie this system into some sort of body part target combat system for even more effectiveness. Woops, the Dire Hog just charged your leg and broke it off from the knee down -- put a tourniquet on that shit and wait for your regenerative qualities to kick in and repair! Reduced kick effectiveness for the next 3 turns.
