+1 Internets | I meant also skills like creative writing, design. I have none of those myself - not just technical skills. Heck even IT project management. I haven't ever managed more than 30 folks. I guess I could list that but I am not interested in that.

+3 Internets | I would imagine any skills that you think might be beneficial to an MMO would be worth listing. Sadly my skilled category is pretty limited, unless we want to count playing ![]() I've dabled in 3d modelling, animation, programming, scripting, economics (share trading), level design, writing, networking, and a few others. Not really enough to do those things to a skilled level, but hopefully enough to talk with the people who do those things. |

+1 Internets | Totally. Hopefully we have some of those folks that usually have 500billion plat who are good at player economies, etc. Or who always dominate the crafting market. Those types of skills are definitely needed.

| Skills: Creative writing, market cornering (I'm one of those guys), thorough knowledge of Sci-Fi and Fantasy Literature (which would help when brainstorming for ideas, particularly how to make TechHealing work). I'm the Exec. Asst to the C.E.O of a tech start-up and do a lot of cordinating work between various non-profits, projects, teams, etc., so orginizational skills I suppose (if those are needed). MMO Experience: Started EQ during Luclin and played a Ranger casually till end of PoP. Was a guild leader of a late start raiding guild in WoW. Have played various other MMOs off and on, Shadowbane, EVE, DAoC, EQ2, and AO. 'Bout it, no technical skills to speak of and any time I took to learn them would probably prevent me from participating in the project at all because work is really busy right now.

+15 Internets | Languages Used: LUA/XML, C/C++/C# Education B.S. Software Engineering - University of Michigan Game Development Experience: Developed a 2d sidescrolling game Managed a 9 person team that built a 3d FPS singleplayer game using the Unreal engine Extensive modding of the WoW UI for raid mods for my guild Relevant MMO History: Was in a second-tier raiding guild in EQ until Luclin. Officer and recruiter in a first tier raiding guild in WoW. Desired Role in Development: For the next month I'll either be finishing some of my other projects, or I'll be in Vegas with my girlfriend, so I can't contribute anything meaningful to the game. If in a month this project has progressed satisfactorily, I would best suited to do engine and gameplay development and modification. I am also capable of design and management roles. |

| Did some content development for a MUD about 9 years ago, ran a small one based on CircleMUD briefly, and even helped write one from scratch, though it was complete crap and all the socket stuff was greek to me. Proficient in Java/C++ up through all the complex data structures stuff, but I don't know anything about application development. Can script very well, in just about any language. +14 Internets | Not the slightest clue about programing, but add me to creative writing, overall gameplay (played almost every MMORPG out there at least to mid levels, EQ1 the most serious starting pre-kunark and playing in TR until DoD), raid and quest design. As for economics - I have a little educational experience there, but I'm not sure how this would be applied to a game. I think the balance there really comes from just playing and seeing what you can/can't afford. Wealth tends to accumulate for the people at the top who can't buy any upgrades and when you introduce something new that requires dropped/collected stuff (think EQ2 transmuting), all that money will flood the economy as they buy up the supply. I guess it'd be an interesting challenge to try and figure out something to prevent this in a way that doesn't force people to farm so they can even afford repairs. |

| I am a mechanical engineer (HVAC) by trade, but I don't have any relevant programming experience. I have extensive knowledge of CAD and willingness to learn new programs to do level editing, etc. I am also an amateur writer. MMO Experience -LORD (Way back in the day) -Various MUDs -The Realm -Nexus -Everquest (2nd Place Raiding guild on Tallon Zek through PoP) -World of Warcraft (2nd Place Raiding guild on Proudmoore Horde through BWL) -Guildwars (Currently playing) Also, I figured I'd just like to help in any way that I can.

| Skills: Creative writing, pen/pencil drawing, adaptability, structured and able to direction very well. MMO Experience: EQ1, EQ2, UO, DAoC, MxO, FFXI, WoW, EVE, Vanguard, Lineage 2, DDO, Various F2P MMOs, and MUDs. Rough skills: 3d modeling, Level design, game mechanics. I'm currently taking classes at The Art Institute Online, earning a B.A. in Game Art and Design. I tend to adapt very well to new material and with a little help and guidance, could refine my skills in 3d modeling and other art related fields. |
