| This should be the model, if you ask me. Without gameplay, you have diddly. The same with content. Who wants to play in a dev box? Graphics I think we can all agree are trivial compared to the core. WoW isn't successful because of its graphics (but its lower min specs sure didn't hurt!) |

| UO was pretty much a dressed up dev box, and plenty of people think it was a far better model than any of the current games. I don't agree 100%, but theres some merit. If you provide a good world with good gameplay and good PvP, and give the players some amount of virtual ownership of it, they will make their own content. |

One thing about UO which I have yet to see is the amazing player driver economy that existed... Where is the ability in todays' game to progress and have a 'elite' (and I use this term sparing lack of better) status among the population base. I remember fondly when I could view profiles and see almost all gm crafted armor with my name on it... I would fight tooth and nail to bring that type of game play back again.
