| Irving/Dallas/Fort Worth I'm in the Dallas-FW area for business for the next month. Staying at a hotel in Irving near the DFW airport. To the locals, or those who have spent some time here: Where are some good spots to eat (Fast-food, sit-down, whatever: i'm by myself so average meal price isn't a huge issue)? Also, any good attractions I should check out? I'm planning on going to Six Flags and to see the new super Cowboys Stadium. Keep in mind I'm from Cleveland, so I haven't eaten at many of the southern-based chain restaurants. I got a haircut today at a place called SportsClips. Let's just say we need them up north. |

+11 Internets | on the "fort worth" aspect... catch a cab to grapevine, visit a place on mainstreet called Tolbert's. enjoy some chili. shouldn't be far if you are staying near the airport, since the airport is in grapevine proper. going during the day isn't a bad idea since it's located on an "old time" mainstreet. lotta shops you can look at. if you wanna shop there is a decent "outdoors" shopping mall in southlake. basically 30-45 year old milf's roaming expensive shops. flying saucer in downtown fort worth is fun for the experience. it's a bar, has something like 130? beers on tap. if you want to try a "honkey tonk" hit up billy bob's, they should have music going on. on "dallas" deep ellum if you are looking for any music. tend's to be more local/small stuff but it's fun. uptown for the nicer/trendier areas and high end clubs. not my thing but my friends live there and go to some of those bars. west end is usually one big party, try to go there once. basically if you go out to fort worth, don't expect to also be able to go out to dallas in the same night. its generally a 30-40min drive depending, so ruins timing.

| Ha yeah. I expected to get a tug job in the "showers"... Maybe I was doing something wrong! Findar, thanks for the tips... I'm actually working out of Grapevine so I'll have to check out Tolbert's atleast. And I'm a big beer fan so I'll definitely check out flying saucer. |
