That must be Lexington Market. I visited there once after reading about Faidley's crab cakes as well. The market is very cool and the crab cakes kicked ass but the neighborhood...yeah. I felt like I should have brought a gun. Strongly recommend going for lunch and not after dark.

Yeah that market is not so good.

Best crab cake is really a debatable thing. Phillips is ok, Rusty Scupper is good. Usually though the best ones are found in the smaller restaurants like Captain James on Boston St (looks like a boat) or The Crack Pot near Towson.
