+6 Internets | Rome I am going to get to travel to Rome for a week on business. I would be interest in some advise on what to see. I have been to Rome once before and I have been to the Pantheon, St. Peters, and the outside of the Coloseum. I am planning on trying to get into the forum and going back to St. Peter's. What should I not miss? |

| You didn`t mention this, but I think it is a fairly obvious thing to do. The Vatican. I traveled to Italy and Rome about six or seven years ago and the Vatican was the coolest site I remember. I am an atheist and didn`t go for any religious reason and it was still extremely cool, so I would definitely recommend it, whatever your afiliation. Apart from that suggestion I have nothing else to contribute. |

+52 Internets | The people in Rome suck and it can be a bad experience very easily. In the tourist areas, you are looked at like a roasted chicken which exists only to have the meat (cash) stripped off you. The old Forum, can see where they burned Caesars body, but you'll see that when you go the Colosseum. The line is annoying long if you go at the wrong time. The Pantheon is cool if its open. The fountains (Trevi) are fun to hang out at and eat Gelato. Make sure you get some Gelato. Watch out for the pickpockets.. they like to shoot those spinny things in the air and while everyone is looking up, pick peoples pockets. The Spanish Steps are pretty cool and impressive too. If you want good nightlife, head to Trastevere, its a pretty cool neighborhood of Rome and has some really fun bars down on the Tiber river. Spend most of your time around there once you see the big attractions. And if you can, skip town and go to Florence. Seriously... Florence is $$$

| I'm not sure how old you are/what your scene is but the Spanish Steps pub crawl is always a blast... every night of the week. I think it ends up on a boat, and there's free beer and easy women. |

| The forum and palatine hill are must sees. The Vatican is amazing and worth the long lines. There was this gelato place that was huge and always packed... I forgot the name though but that shit was good... its pretty easy to get around via subway so just see the city its pretty cool. When i went we didn't see the gypsies that everyone talks about (spring break in 1997 I think). |

+10 Internets | Necroing for personal gain, yay! Any hotel recommendations in Rome? We're looking around and a friend from Italy said there are tons of Hotels and they're overpriced on the interwebs. Any truth to that and any suggestions? Don't want to break the bank but a pretty nice place for me and my buddy to stay. Thanks for giving suggestions previously, too. |

| As said before the people in Rome are not super friendly. I'd also suggest seeing the vatican museum, get there early and you won't have to wait in line but maybe 20 minutes. Check out trevi fountains, palatine hill, spanish steps, piazza navona, since you haven't seen those sites. I didn't find the trastavere too great. Theres alot of night life but the thing about Rome is their night life consist of restaurants that serve beer, no real "bars" that we are use to in the US. As mentioned early check out a pub crawl, I wanted to do one but we didnt have a night to get completely messed up. |
