Bally's has good deals usually and for the price their rooms are actually very nice. And it's in a good location with a monorail stop right there in the back of the hotel on the bottom floor.

If you plan to go to all the hotels monorail passes are a must.

Depending on how nice of a room you want, you can get the rooms at Hooters Casino Hotel for $30 a night that far in advance. My friend and I just got our room and flight tickets. We used Southwest...some pretty good deals right now.

The Hooter's hotel is pretty ghetto and far from the main hub of entertainment on the strip. I stayed at the Monte Carlo and while the rooms were average, it was $45 a night.

Definitely be on the lookout for deals, even from the casinos directly. When the economy was particularly bad a month ago, I saw rooms at the Venetian go for $99 a night on weekends, despite the fact that normally they'd be at 279. I know that MGM still routinely offers rooms at < $80 a night as well, and some times $60 still.

If you go, I have a friend that works at a wristband company and he can probably get you a bag of samples to use to sneak into parties and clubs.

Just look online on their websites and usually, I get them via promotional newsletters that I signed up for. Calling up isn't a bad idea either - my friends got a room at Encore this past weekend with a Final 4 special... the room cost ~$100-150 a night I believe despite having been advertised for more only a few days earlier

That and having player's cards are damn fucking awesome esp. when they're deseprate for people.

BTW, just got back from Vegas for a bachelor party... XS is one fucking sweet club btw, and the Planet Hollywood rooms are also pretty nice - the suites there have a panoramic view of the strip so it is really nice. It's considered a bit further to the south on the strip now (until City Center opens at least) but you'll just cab anywhere if you really need to get there "fast" anyways. And I use that term loosely, since any cab thats on the strip will take for fucking ever.

Seconding the Wynn buffet, shit is awesome. Be prepared to wait for a while to get in though, especially if you go at peak time (I dunno when peak times are, I just know the line was pretty damn long when I went).

Go at 11 or 2, those times the lines went by extremely fast

Then again, we went for champagne buffet... holy hell, nothing like all you can drink. Getting blacked out at 2PM in Vegas with a major headache to follow was fun and also plain miserable

My last trip out our group started every day with a yard tall margarita for breakfast. I still get heartburn just thinking about it.

We had a VIP table in Tao at the Venetian. One of the best nights of my life.

The silverton usually has really good rates. I only play there, great rooms the whole thing.


The rio breakfeast buffet is really really good.

Also ice bar at mandalay bay. You buy a bottle of vodka and you put on the russian coats and hats and you and some friends can go shoot vodka off a giant frozen stalin head. Its like -15 in the room, good times.


Also can go to the gun shop on tropicana I think, and shoot fully auto's and stuff ..

Either way, I'm bringing 2 grams of cocaine with me for the hang overs.
I only take the stuff while I'm in Vegas because it is a guarantee hangover cure. It might be taboo on the boards and I was skeptical of taking it, but after drinking 3 of those mondo drinks at the stratosphere with 4 extra shots of 195 proof alcohol added into it, I was up for any suggestion that would help my head stop hurting like an American history X curb stomp.

So it did.
