And you have to remember that Fitz and Warner were the first people they ever really shelled out money for. There was a lot of talk of Fitz hitting the open market when he was due up for Free Agency because they were not known to open the wallet for players. That he got a new deal done was nothing short of amazing.

Boldin still has another year on his deal and is pretty much shot at this point. He has been injured 3+ games each of the last 2 years including the entire playoff run this year. Plus he wants #1 receiver money and is simply not worth it. They would be better off locking up Breston to a long term deal then blowing it on Boldin. Docket has at least another year on his plus they can franchise him. Rolle will probably get payed like Wilson did last year, plus he is already making decent money being a top 10 pick. Dansby is the biggest concern for next year they have to pay him 15mil if they franchise him again.

The Cardinals turn around has been due to Bill sr. getting senile and turning the team over to his sons Micheal and Bill jr. Plus all the money from having a new stadium vs selling 25k to sit on aluminum and having to give a chunk of your concession money to ASU. Day games in that stadium for a NFL team were horrible. Rod Graves has done a great job as GM too. I am hoping that the kids have figured out that if you actually spend the money you will get it back and there isn't a huge backslide with Warner leaving.

Even if Leinart is a success as a starter in general terms I don't see the Cards making the playoffs again anytime soon really. The Vikings were making the playoffs with Tavaris but not to the NFC Championship until Favre came. Warner means a LOT when it comes to post season Cardinals. I wish he woulda played another few years.

Unless the 49ers can step up (and I think they can, I thought this was their year but oh well) the Cardinals will win that shit division. It should be a dogfight between the two for the next couple of years while StL and Seattle rebuild.

49'ers will win the division next year. The Cardinals are going to have a lot of offseason turmoil, and the Rams/Seahawks are caca. They really have nearly every key in place to do very well and were it not for a couple miracle plays they would've been 10-6 this year. The real question marks are DB and QB, but this is going to be the first season in 6 years that the Niners have the same OC and HC in consecutive years. If Alex Smith shows decent improvement with the spread next year and Gore can adapt to it, the 49'ers will definitely be deep postseason contenders.

As long as Mike Singletary is calling the shots, the Niners will improve. He's a bit jesusy for my tastes, but you cannot overlook the raw ability. He's good...really good...and i'd lay down cash money they're in the playoffs next year (maybe not 2010, but 2011 unless the CBA talks implode and theres no season that year).

Cards should trade Boldin and say a third rounder to the Eagles for Mcnabb. It would help both franchises.

For the first time in a long time, I really don't think the Eagles need to spend big money to bring in a veteran Wide Receiver. Jackson is a game changing talent already only going into his 3rd year, and Maclin seems to be the real deal. As a 1st rounder, he somehow stayed under the radar with a great season for a rookie WR. - 55 catches 762 yards 4tds. - Avant is a very underrated, and very solid slot guy. I'm not saynig that Boldin wouldn't be a nice veteran to bring in to help mold some of these young guys, but there are better places for this team to spend their money.

I think the team keeps Mcnabb unless they get blown away by a trade offer, 1st rounder or more. The people calling for his removal from the team somehow don't realize that the team set a franchise record for points this season. I liked what I saw out of Kevin Kolb, but to think that he'll be Mcnabb's equal, or even an upgrade...seems unreasonable, given the ups and downs that all young quarterbacks face.

Eagles need to move on, Kolb is going to bolt soon and if he does they have no one when McNabb is finished. I don't think they will ever win a Superbowl with McNabb.

Mcnabb is a tough player to dissect. He's a really good quarterback, but under his lead the team either blows teams out or gets blown out most of the time. I think there's a lot more to them losing big games than him though and he'd be tough to replace.

This is probably one of those times where the Ownership needs to step in and force a change. The skill positions are young except for McNabb and Westbrook, and Westbrook might not play next year. Kolb has been there 3 years and displayed earlier in the season that he could step in and run the system. McNabb is on the last year of his contract, find a team that wants a short term solution and make a deal.

Guard Russ Grimm, linebacker Rickey Jackson, cornerback Dick LeBeau, running back Floyd Little, defensive tackle John Randle, wide receiver Jerry Rice, and running back Emmitt Smith make up the Class of 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinees.

The seven-man class was elected by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Selection Committee who met today in South Florida. The newest members of the Hall were selected from a list of 17 finalists who had been determined earlier by the committee.

Grimm was a steadying force of the Washington Redskins’ offensive line known as “The Hogs.” The standout guard earned All-NFL acclaim and Pro Bowl trips four consecutive seasons.

Jackson helped turn the Saints from perennial losers to a playoff contender and becomes the first long-time player from the team to be elected to the Hall of Fame. He was named first-team All-NFL four times in his career.

LeBeau, was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns but cut, joined the Lions shortly thereafter. He went on to enjoy a 14-year career that saw him intercept 62 passes. That total currently ranks third all-time among cornerbacks.

Little, the first 1,000-yard rusher in Denver Broncos history, was a versatile star who amassed more than 12,000 all-purpose yards on rushing, receiving, punt returns, and kickoff returns during his nine-season career.

Randle, a seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro pick, amassed 137.5 sacks during his career with the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks. A member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1990s, he played in 219 career games.

Rice played an amazing 20 seasons and owns virtually every major receiving record. In all, he caught 1,549 passes for 22,895 yards and scored a total of 208 touchdowns.

Smith is the NFL’s all-time leading rusher with 18,355 yards and scored a record 164 rushing touchdowns. He won four NFL rushing titles and gained 1,000 yards in a record 11 straight seasons.
Haley probably makes it in next year.
