| We bawlin boi! | Yea, from the sound of it Deniz Kilici is a manchild, sucks he got that stupid 20 game suspension. Guess he gets to play in the exhibition games, so I want to see how good he is. Ebanks and Kevin Jones are fucking gigantic, last year they looked like skinny high school kids. Still, I dunno how far we can go without a good pg, and Truck and Mazz are both solid but not superstars at the point.

+58 Internets | Yeah he should've gone to Iowa State and put up Beasley numbers =p But did anyone else watch his announcement? Jesus it started off so gag worthy. He tried a little too hard to seem clean cut and like a good kid (maybe he is but still trying too hard). Then it got kind of neat. |

| We bawlin boi! | Team looked like shit today I thought. Then again Ebanks didnt play, he wasnt even suited up or at the game on the bench, nobody knows whats going on. I think it might have to do with Huggs throwing him out of practice, but they cited personal issues. Some WVU fans are worried though, so I guess we will see. It sounded like he might not be around for awhile though. Jennings did fine, but again this is just Loyola not much we can take away.

| So yea, Dan Jennings is sick. Mitchell is greedy and needs to learn to pass, got taken out multiple times for taking awful shots, including one spinning backwards over his shoulder air ball. KJ destroys in the post. Butler is still good. Ebanks is out for an unknown amount of time for undisclosed "personal reasons" and Mazz is still injured. All that said, they played like complete shit for a good portion of the game and simply outlasted an inferior opponent. Lots of work to be done for Huggs but so much potential. Can't wait for more!

| We bawlin boi! | Im not really sure how far we will make it, because I fear the guards. A stud PG is the best position to take a team far into the NCAA tourney, which is why you see teams like Mich State and UNC do so well every year--or Syracuse last year with Flynn. With so many different defenses, you need a leader who can attack it. I think Truck Bryants improvement is going to be key, and getting Mazz healthy--which is still an unknown. Mitchell needs to play better, but fucking Jay Jacobs needs to shut up about him. Bad enough listening to Caridi slurp Stews nuts but having to hear Jacobs hate on Mitchell this much is annoying. I fucking hate MSN. Jacobs hated on Ebanks all season last year and acted like he should be getting 20 and 20 a game as a freshman, fuck him. Hes just mad he sat the bench or some shit on Jerry Wests team I think. Our best strength is going to be depth later in the year when Kilicli there. We will have starter level guys coming off the bench.

| Really, what the fuck is up with that guy? You'd think Mitchell knocked up his daughter and pushed her down a flight of stairs with the way he was on him today. I think I remember him giving shit to Truck pretty relentlessly last year though. I agree about the guard play, but if we are as good in the post as I think we can be, then I think the rotation of Truck and Mazzulla(assuming he recovers fully) and a little bit of Butler thrown in there will be able to take us pretty deep. Or we could lose to fucking Dayton again. It's a crap shoot really but I'm excited to find out.

| We bawlin boi! | Tony Caridi is fun to hate on too. Its funny he will answer for Stew sometimes, and he wont ever think of trying to answer for Huggins. I think Huggins doesnt like him either, because he is such a spineless faggot. Why we have some fucking Syracuse grad covering our team I will never know, wish they would take him and his lame radio voice. Its a great night to be a mountaineer wherever you may be was cool when we made it to the elite 8, but that schtick has gotten old. Anyways, a big problem for Mitchell he is right though is defense. Ruoff was a shitty streaky shooter most nights, but his D was always good. Still Jacobs needs to shut the fuck already, you dont just learn to play Huggins defense in 1 game coming from a juco team where all they asked him to do was spot up and shoot.

| Too much WVU talk! My thoughts after a few exhibition and actual games: Florida- Going to be another "meh" year but I think they can make the ncaa tourny because the SEC is absolutely horseshit(outside of Kentucky). Kenny B is legit(freshman) and will be good; but counting on freshman to carry a team only works when that freshman is a top 5 recruit(Rose/Oden/Mayo/etc). I think the PG spot will be fine(and maybe better than last year), but I was never sold on Calathes as a PG(he has such a slow release on his shot). The bigs are better than last year but still not great. Macklin is SOFT - especially for a big. He gets pushed around by guys 6+inches shorter than him and rarely goes strong to the rim. Shipman is turning out to be the "stud" 6th man and is very aggressive when hes in the game. I really like the way he plays ball and I think he will have a big impact. The biggest problem for UF is that they try to "out-athlete" every team they play. Essentially if UF has better athletes they should win almost every time, but against a "stud" team they will struggle. They are also using the full-court press for the whole game to try and shorten the shot-clock because the half court defense has been pretty bad. Obviously this won't work against a team with amazing guards. All in all, this is an "okay" team and I don't think they will miss Calathes as much as most people feel. While he was a good player - I dont think he was the type of player that could carry a team. He cracked too often under pressure. Unless they totally implode I expect them to make the Tourny. I'd imagine 3 will get in from the SEC. ------------------------- MSU- Looking "okay" but not worthy of a number 2 ranking - I'd probably place them around 6 or 7 right now. The center position is still a BIG question mark and the team isn't healthy(morgan out/ roe concussion / summers eye/ etc). Lucas is a stud - even better than last year. The team almost broke 100 in their first game without any player logging more than 25mins, so thats good even if the competition was pretty non-existant. However, the biggest issue I have with this team is that the rebounding has been less-than-stellar so far. Clearly, its a product of a young front court, but for a team that has led the nation in rebounding for 5 of the last 6 years -its a big issue. I have a feeling we will see a lot of small line-ups from MSU this season. Green is playing amazing(averaged a double-double in exhibition and had one for the first game), so I'd imagine a green/roe front court will see a LOT of playing time. I think the guard play will carry MSU through a lot of games - but at this point I don't see a final four team. Obviously its early and Izzo is notorious for March, not for november. If any coach can get a team ready he can, but having no front court is going to bite this team in the ass come March when they have a cold shooting night. --- Finally.. Too bad for northwestern... Their 2 best players are out for the season(and red-shirting) which means they have essentially no chance to make the tourny. This was suppose to be "their" year; guess better luck next year?
