| We bawlin boi! | Teams that see it in conference play get used to beating it, its helpful to run a 1-3-1 in the tourney though since you dont likely end up facing in conference teams who are used to it--its difficult to prepare for when nobody else really runs a 1-3-1, and Beilein runs that very very well. The defense isn't my problem with JB, it's that Beilein lives and dies by jump shooters and one cold night and you are done in the tourney. I much prefer a system like Huggs that pounds the rock and takes high percentage shots, capitalizing on defense and turnovers. Sorta like the Rich Rodriguez run spread in a way, funny they both ended up there. In conference teams became used to seeing it and how to defend it....but yea thinking Beilein is better than Huggs is laughable. Beilein even looks dumber now because he said WVU could never get high ranked recruits to go there--yet we had the 3rd or 4th ranked class in the nation in Huggs very first year. Really, no highly touted recruits wanted to play for Beileins system which would never give them a chance in the pros--fuck look what Huggs did with Joe Alexander in ONE year. Turned him from a baby used to sitting for long periods on the bench into a top 10 pick, sadly Joe A just got hurt yet again....doesnt look good for his NBA career with his injuries and being on that team.

| I almost hope the Bucks don't pick up his option so he can possibly get to team that doesn't fucking blow year in and year out, but with his lack of performance of prevalence of injuries he might run the risk of not getting picked up at all. Still he think he would have been better served staying another year under Huggs but can't blame him for leaving. Wish him the best.

| We bawlin boi! | I saw that earlier too, ouch. Cuse fans are in meltdown mode around their forums. Still, it was just an exhibition game but that has to be worrisome.

+13 Internets | Really? Must not have been Cuse fans for that long. Syracuse is the definition of enigmatic unpredictability(except for the football program recently). Really hard to get behind them because they pull shit like this.

| No Cuse fans -- and I know quite a few of them -- are in meltdown over this. It's slightly worrisome. Certainly embarrassing. But virtually every year, whether in exhibition or in an early-season non-conference game that should be a 'gimme', Cuse plays down to an opponent and almost gets upset in a major way. This time it just so happened that they actually lost the game at the end. Again, definitely embarrassing, but it's fucking exhibition. It has no bearing on anything at all. If Syracuse opens the season 0-3 with losses to Albany and other scrubs, I'll come back with my recently pulled out hair in tow. Until then I'm not going to lose sleep over an exhibition game and a slow news day for ESPN. BTW, the bright spot of this loss was that Wesley Johnson began establishing All-Americanish bonafides. The dude is a baller and is going to show himself to be the real deal this year. |

| We bawlin boi! | Well the ESPN forums were blowing up, so were the scout forums, but I thought it was funny seeing so many sky is falling comments about it. I think Michigan State lost one a couple years ago and made the sweet 16 still, no reason to panic.

| I am giddy. The vols have a white freshman dude with 'bama bangs named Skylar who is a preferred walkon(been promised a scholly next year) who brings absolutely nothing to the table other than a Lee Humphrey-like set shot. The guy absolutely rains three balls. I don't know if he can get his shot off against D1 competition, but he is going to wreck some zones this year.

Exhibition season seems to be going pretty well - especially seeing Syracuse lose to a d2 school. MSU lost to a d2 school a few years back and tsill made the SS(losing to a cheating Memphis team) so I wouldnt' say Syracuse's season is over. However, that MSU team that lost was suppose to be a final four team - the exhibition loss foreshadowed things to come. | |

| We bawlin boi! | Jesus, from our team picture, our bb team looks like a football team this year. Huggins ball I guess. As far as our ranking goes, I dunno, Im going to still need to see some big wins, we have a lot of young kids so all the fans out there talking NC or final four already sound silly. Kevin Jones (#5)looks like a different person, 35 lb of pure muscle I guess does that. ![]()
