Healthy celtics look fucking scary...
Lakers are even nastier than last year...

Cavs are still the "Lebron show".
Magic, we'll see how they do without Turkoglu.

I can't see anything exept Lakers/Celtics this year.

The odds have to be pretty stacked on the Celtics taking a decent injury. There's just too many miles on those players already unless they have their minutes held pretty tightly.

I can't see LeBron staying a Cav btw.

meh the C's of course are going to look great these first few weeks. I'll be able to form an opinion on the team in 2010. If they do stay healthy though, they've got players who are comfortable with themselves now from having to step up last year that would make them very good due to the depth it would give them

3-1 Rockets, didn't see the game (MNF duh), but read the live tweets and box score. Small ball at it's finest, winning in Utah is never easy

It's worth looking up. Just watched it and I found out quite a few things about his story I never knew. Although them attempting to make him an active participant in the cause after the fact is kind of disconcerting.

reading some tweets people don't seem to be enjoying it this 30for30. Are you watching it? Is it as bad/boring as I'm hearing?

Well, I was disappointed with the first one(Gretzky) and I skipped the band one, but the rest of them have been pretty interesting, especially if you're into the business side of sports. I've just been DVRing them all and then catching them whenever, but I'd always heard about Len Bias and that situation so I made it a point to watch this one. The Ali one was must watch in my opinion, and probably the best so far.

I think everyone's expectations were too high for the series. I can only name six or seven good sports documentaries I've ever seen, and now ESPN wants to do 30 of them. There's just not that many good documentarians or sports topics for them to cover. So it makes sense it's going to be very hit or miss, especially restricted to 48 minutes or whatever and the short production cycle. I bet they end up with one or two great ones and a lot of repeat fodder out of it, which is probably all they really wanted.

Thunder push Lakers to overtime, I'd say they've made some solid strides so far this season.

Mavs out scored the Jazz 44-18 in the 4th quarter to come from like 20 behind and win. Not pretty but I'll take it.

Thing is, Westbrook and Durant turned the ball over way too much in that game too. Jeff Green is so much better than I ever knew, I mean he may not fill up the stat sheet, but now I understand his game a little more.

hawks won me some money tonight, figured they'd be a matchup problem for Portland

Hmmmmm.

Worth a read if you're even remotely interested in the NBA.

Dude...

Like dude. Seriously...dude. *shakes head*

I stopped halfway through the excerpt. I love the NBA, more than any other league. Fuck I read Bill Simmons entire book in two days.

Dude...its like knowing for years your girlfriend has been banging your best friend. You saw the clues and you just kept telling yourself you had no real proof so you blissfully kept the relationship going. But in your heart you knew it was true. Then you finally catch her in a lie. Then after denial after denial after denial...she cracks. She confesses. And the last 23 years of your life was just a fucking farce.

Was the 85, 94, 03 lottery rigged?
Did those Sactown, Portland and Phoenix teams get jobbed?
Did the 06 Mavs get screwed out of a ring?
Did Stern force MJ to go on a 18 month sabbatical?
How many franchises and careers have forever been changed?

*shakes head*
