| Well then again, what did Edmonton expect in a 36 year goalie who got run out of town by... Huet, who didn't quite perform with Chicago. Haven't watched the game tho, were the Oilers running circles in that terrific Calgary defense? (Montreal facing them tuesday... and honestly I'm scared...) |

| Bruins with 7 different goal scorers against Carolina is a nice comeback from Thursdays turd-dropping performance against Washington. Pretty upset at former-B Andrew Alberts for taking a cheap shot at recently returned Marco Sturm. At least he was made to pay for it. And Milan Lucic is a MONSTER. 21yrs old and has bloodied and beaten two of the leagues biggest tough guys this year already. At one point there were so many people in the penalty box, they couldn't fit enough to all sit down. Can't wait til Thursday now. |

It was just such poor timing for that to happen, he cost us at least a point if not 2.

I know it's early, and we have 4 points(could easily be 0), but the Flames are already diving back into old shitty second and third period habits. It's so frustrating.

Great goalie no doubt, but unpredictable and shows no dedication to any team he's with.

| Speaking of goalies. Can anyone name a goalie playing worse than Luongo this season? He even got pulled tonight. Canucks have out shot all their opponents 2-1 but have come up short due to Luongo deciding to become a sieve |

| A Bearded Gnome | It's still too early in the season but alot of Hawks fans are calling for Huet to be benched already. /boggle He's only played one game so far and it mostly our defense hanging him out to dry that game.

+6 Internets | While I agree Luongo has been terrible over the first three games, and I've never been fully on board with the hype with so little hardware backing up the point, let's not forget the fact that the Canucks D have been as effective as pylons so far this season. The frequency with which they are getting beat cleanly between the blueline and the hashmarks is just disgusting. |

Huet sucks balls. The hawks need to face the elephant in the room and admit that this is probably the best shot that the hawks have at the cup in a VERY long time. If they put Huet as starter when one of their rockford kids can outperform then senior management needs to take a headfirst off a bridge. Enough is enough. Last season proved it. And yes, I was at the preseason against Minnesota and the crowd hates Huet more than Cambell.

+5 Internets | That Calgary/Edmonton game was odd. Was up in Calgary and got to watch HNIC for the first time in years. I don't quite agree with Eomer that the Oilers completely outplayed the Flames. Oilers had more shots, but not really more chances. Calgary controlled the play mostly through the first 2, and then once again let Edmonton back in in the third. That 30 second period from the wide open chance from the O'Sullivan wide open shot to the goal by Moss was very weird. There were also a number of other weird things going on in the game, from Edmonton tying it on a weird deflection off the boards to one of Calgary's earlier goals going in from a 6 foot wide shot that went in off an Oiler player's shoulder. Just a weird game with weird bounces. |

+6 Internets | Gillis files tampering charge against Burke Looks like Gillis really didn't like Burke discussing the players in a possible trade at the draft in front of Leaf.TV According to TSN, Gillis filed tampering charges with the league today. I find it a little surprising that they filed over this but not the Sedin issue from earlier this year, that one seemed like it would be more cut and dry. Maybe he's just doing it to save face with the players mentioned, or who knows (I don't know the NHL bylaws very well), he may have a solid case and cost Burkie some picks. Report: Canucks to file tampering charges against Maple Leafs Anyone a little bit more knowledgeable about the legal side of the NHL here? I don't recall ever having seen a tampering case, or if I have it was dealt with so quickly and without penalty that it escapes my memory. |
