Ovechkin already with 2 goals and an assist tonight against Boston. I also forgot how much I hate Versus and their gimmick bullshit. Anyone see the intermission report with Brian Engblom where he was trying to show highlights on this giant TV with buttons and a touch screen, and as he's trying to draw an arrow it starts spazing out all over the screen? Fuck... just show me the highlights without trying to be the next "NHL ON FOX LASERS LASERS PEWPEWPEW~!!1!"

ESPN wanted a revenue sharing deal and it's the reason why the NHL went with Vs. Vs pays the NHL some stupid amount of money for the rights.

I'm not so upset at losing Vs for the NHL as all the Blackhawks games are blacked out on it anyways in favor of CSN coverage, but I am sad to lose it because of the WEC(MMA) and the Tour de France. I'm hoping both sides can work something out so I can continue to see both.

*cries* Yeah.. I should've prayed for less than 2 months instead of two weeks. This is a disaster to start the season. Pretty much means Yannick Weber will get his chance on the PP and in the NHL, unless Gainey manages to pull off a S.K. + Halak + for Cam Barker.. (I doubt).

Also, Pens are on pace to go 82-0!!!!

No question the NHL went full retard when they signed VS. Every sports commentator in the world lambasted Bettman for signing it, and they were absolutely right. It's been a fucking disaster.

Well. Not exactly a fantastic start to the Bulin era in Edmonton. Oilers outplayed the Flames pretty thoroughly last night in pretty much every department. Outhit, outskated, out shot and just generally controlled the game, other than a couple break downs that lead to the goals. Bulin's bed shitting at the end was pretty mind boggling. What the fuck? I hope he knows this is Edmonton and that was his only freebie, one more like that and he'll be getting crucified by the fans and media.
