+5 Internets | Best I can come up with is I played against Charles Woodson (Freemont Ross HS). I didn't know him at the time, though. They all seemed fast and big to me. Saw Jimmy Jackson play against us also in high school. He was Mr. Basketball in Ohio I believe and then went on to OSU and the NBA. I didn't follow him much, but he was amazing to see as a Senior in high school. |

| Matt Jones and Darren McFadden. Both were in my classes, Matt from parties and Dmac was in my lab group.

| No friends, but i played little league with the Angels closer Brian Fuentes. Never thought he was that good, but i guess he put in the work to get there cause he's making 6 million a year now. Not my friend, but i talked to him when i was a kid when he was in a Blue Jays uniform DeWayne Buice. He was playing the A's in Oakland and i went down to talk to him and tell him who my family was. He was shocked. haha gave me a ball. My dad grew up with him and they were good friends. Same dude that helped start Upper Deck. As a matter of fact, i still have the prototype card of him when upperdeck first joined. My uncle got it from him and gave it to me.

| Two of my aunts used to get consistently plowed by the Maddox brothers in high school and apparently still talk to them.

+10 Internets | I didn't play with or against anyone too famous in high school. I was voted best area athlete ahead of a guy who jumped from high school to the NBA though. In college, I played with; everyone on this list except Danny Clark, Illini in the NFL And for guys I have played against, anyone in the Big Ten from 2000-2003 football seasons. |

| Nate Longshore - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Not in professional sports, but yeah. He lived a block away from me growing up.

In 1992 (around there), our coach said he was the hardest working and purest shooter he's ever coached.

+66 Internets | I wasn't friends with either, but growing up I played a bit of box lacrosse with Mike Comrie and in a tournament with Jamie Lundmark. I also went to HS with both, had a few classes with Jamie. Nice enough guy, but not very bright at all, good thing he's been able to stick in the NHL the past few years because his earning potential outside of it is nil. Paul Comrie, Mike's older brother who retired due to repeated concussions, came out and played some games with our beer league team a few years back, but was getting too many symptoms to continue. My sister and bro were good friends of Jason Strudwick's sister, who is also the Neidermayer's cousin. But that's kinda how it goes in most Canadian cities, everyone's got a cousin or friend of a friend who's made it to the NHL. |

+2 Internets | ^^^^ What Eomer said. Went to school with Lanny McDonald's kids. When the Flames won the cup in 1989 I remember sitting in some class and having Lanny walk into the class with the cup. Nothing educational was learned that day. My father has been friends with Bob Bassen's (google Scott Stevens greatests hits, Bobby is about #4 I think ) uncle for the better part of 30 years. Went to school with Herb's (the uncle) kids.Danny Heatley is lifelong buddies with a friend of mine. Dude can drink...like alot. And I know and have played with about every professional paintballer to ever come out of Canada. Might be missing a couple from out east, but not many. |

| Have an uncle who had brief stints in MLB.. pitched for the Yankees and Tigers for a couple of seasons in the early 90's. He wasn't all that stellar however. He was pretty awesome in triple-A though!

| For those of you watching the US Open, I used to teach at the tennis facility that Melanie Oudin played out of. I used to teach the drills the other two sisters were apart of, Melanie was waaaaaay beyond anyone else there. Reubin Houston, the CB at GA Tech who got caught with all the weed in his trunk. I went to the same HS as that guy, he was pretty chill but that fucked everything up for him.
