NFC picks? North: The Bears? Really inconsistent offense. That and bad defense, same problem that San Diego has. Didn't expect the Vikings to do as well as they have been. Packers are performing a little better than I expected, they can still win the division if they take the game against Minnesota this week, but if they don't they may as well forget it and pray for a wild card. Lions? There's always next year. East: Going about how I expected. Top 3 teams strong once again with the cellar dweller Redskins sucking it up. Dallas is a bit of a surprise although their only win against a good team is the Falcons. As with every year the division games are going to decide it all, but I'm still going to stick with my pick of the Giants or Eagles taking the division and the other a wild card slot. West: Arizona is going to walk away with the division. 49ers started strong but have gone down the shitter right quick, kind of like Baltimore. Seattle and St. Louis are still ass. South: Yeah I definitely doubted the Saints a little, although I did somewhat preface my choice for NFC South champion between either them or Atlanta. Though like I mentioned months ago, I thought the rough schedule would leave both teams with MAYBE 10 or 11 wins, however now it looks like both will be at or over that. Going to be really interesting to see where the two wild card teams come from this year. You got 3 teams in the east, 2 teams in the north, and 2 teams in the south looking playoff worthy. But after you subtract the 3 division winners that still leaves 4 teams and only 2 wild card slots. Should be a good second half of the season. Playoff picks I made... bleh. Giants, Cards, and Eagles I'll stick with where I have them but definitely would go with Saints and Vikings taking their divisions and Falcons being the other wild card. Sorry Packers and Cowboys. AFC? North: Bengals are surprising, but I don't know if it will last the whole year. Can only have so many close calls before the scale starts to tip the other way. Ravens and Steelers look strong as usual. Assuming Pittsburgh doesn't lose to the Bengals a second time this year I still think they'll wind up winning the division. Bengals could end up taking a wild card slot. East: Patriots and nobody else, moving on. West: Broncos are easily the biggest surprise of the year. They seem to have the division on lock down barring a total collapse (which happened last year... so who knows, however this is a completely different team and coaching staff). San Diego best unfuck themselves if they want a prayer of the division race, but like I said this is looking eerily similar to last year. They might pull off a wild card but they'll have 2 teams in the north (whoever doesn't win the division) and one in the south (Houston) to contend with. South: Colts are looking unstoppable yet again. If I had to revise my Super Bowl picks I'd go with Saints and Colts, which would possibly be one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. Close on at least the playoff slots, only real teams missing would be the Broncos in the west (and seriously, who saw that one coming) and maybe the Bengals in the north. Ravens need to unfuck their defense and be more consistent on offense if they want any chance at the division or wild card, same with Houston. I'm still going to stick with the same wild card picks. My faith in the Bengals and Chargers is non-existent. Also... glad I picked the right teams in each conference to drop off! And to be honest, if it wasn't wishful homer thinking I would have picked the Bucs instead of the Panthers. As for the POTY peoples: MVP - Brees and P. Manning, nobody else is even close. DPOTY: Looking like Jared Allen so far. OPOTY: Whichever QB doesn't win MVP race, maybe even Ronnie Brown or Adrian Peterson. OROTY: Umm shit I haven't been following rookies this year. Harvin maybe...? DROTY: I have no idea honestly. Haven't followed any rookies at all.

+39 Internets | Bucs won 9 games last year (and were actually 9-3 to start the season). I could see them still winning that 'race'. This is their remaining schedule: packers, @dolphins, saints, @falcons, @carolina, jets, @seattle, @saints, falcons. They may not win a game this year. I still have a hard time believing the Panthers dropoff can compete with anything the Bucs are going to do this year. I'm writing that one down as the only prediction I feel good about right now ![]() I feel deceived by the panthers for not following them closely enough last year. Looking back on their 2008 schedule, 5 of those wins were by 4 points or less. |

| Detective Fox Mulder | Hey like I said it was wishful thinking with them being my team. Myself and all my friends, think we decided around 4 wins max for the Bucs this year. Sadly we seemed to have set the bar way too high. Either way the Panthers are still going to drop off a LOT from last year. They could also win the race though, don't forget they had 12 wins last year. They could very well end up with only 4 or 5 wins. Only real winnable games on their schedule left are Jets, Bucs, and MAYBE the Dolphins. Dolphins are a fucking mystery, they play some of the best and worst halves of football I have ever seen (see: Saints game).

Hard for their D to stop anyone when the QB is chucking picks and going 3 and out all the time.

+32 Internets | If only you had predicted that Welker would cry like a bitch. Sorry if this is piling on, but he's one cocky motherfucker and while I'd rather not see him get hurt like that, it was great to see him cry. I'm fully aware that my avatar is King Douche, and if he gets hurt then I will take the blame. |
