As for some discussion, where do we think Vick is headed? First guess should be the Raiders but I'm hearing Jacksonville a lot now.

It's hard for me to imagine any team giving Vick a chance anytime soon, due to the press that follows it. I think it could be mid-season before he gets onto a practice squad, but never underestimate the desperation to win from these coaches.

Hmm, could he wind up in Minn? Him and AP running a wildcat offense?

Minn already has a Vick type runner in Jackson, I don't know why they would need him. Especially now that they have Harvin, someone familiar with the wildcat.

edit: breaking news on ESPN is reporting Favre will stay retired

And there was much rejoycing.

So what off-season stuff happened to the Patriots to make people think they're only going to be at 68%?

Only 68% win percentage? That's close to 11-5.

Well the QB had a major injury, and the LB corps is not very deep. Playcaller Josh McDaniels, who was OC during Brady's 50 TD season is gone. The O-line allowed 48 sacks last season (yes some can be attributed to Cassel). Their run blocking is great though. They have the 2nd toughest schedule(if you buy Strength of Schedule based on last years record), with Baltimore, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Carolina, Atlanta and New Orleans.

I'd say only 68% is pretty good. If it was any other team with those problems all the experts would have pegged them .500 or worse.

I'm a sucker for hypotheticals.

AFC -

East - Patriots
West - Chargers
North - Steelers
South - Colts
Wildcard - Texans, Dolphins

NFC -

East - Eagles
West - Cardinals
North - Bears
South - Saints
Wildcard - Vikings, Cowboys

AFC Championship - Patriots vs. Texans / NFC Championship - Eagles vs. Saints

Super Bowl - Patriots vs. Eagles

Pats win.

"Texans"? Is that a real team? *duck*

A Patriots super bowl would be pretty amazing. The NFL would probably start only allowing them 10 guys on the field in 2010-2011.

Knew he wasn't doing well, but this snuck up on us a little bit. RIP for sure.

He was one of those long time assistants that often got talked about as much as a head coach. Any real football fan has heard the phrase "A Jim Johnson Defense" dozens of times.

Maybe this will give the Birds an extra something to play for this year. Of course, by week 6 when our defense is ranked 4th in the league, we're going to all be sick of the bullshit Pam Oliver interviews about how they're "Doing this for JJ."

Ugh I just made myself angry.
