Oh man, Favre staying retired is the best news of the year for me. For 3 years I've planned on making my NFL team (never had one) in to the team Percy went to. I was all prepped to buy a new jersey.... and then Brett Favre happened. No way I root for a team with that douchebag on it. But at last the vikings are saved! Hurrah! Go Tarvaris Jackson! Of course if Tebow goes to the niners next year I will be hard pressed not to root for both.

Cowboys had their kickoff special last night and practice starts today. Then they go into 2-a-days all weekend long. No more "Camp Cupcake", they've got 11 total days that have two practices, more than any other training camp in recent memory. Helps to have them in the Alamodome instead of somewhere outside, but still. Very interested in seeing how the RCB position pans out, as well as the fight for the #3 receiver position and the #5 receiver position.
surprised they aren't doing outdoor practices... but it has been super hot this summer compared to previous ones.

also, 2-a-days suck shit to participate in.

Yeah I don't know about Tarvaris, even though both of them are pretty piss poor. I read a pretty interesting article, I hope it wasn't hear that it was linked because I don't remember, but it mentioned that Favre not going to the Vikings could have hurt them even more, considering all the support he was getting from the teammates texting him to come and whatnot. This could have put a lot of mixed signals in their existing QB's to see their team practically begging Favre to come, making the team bond less strong. Not sure if i really buy the mental game bullshit, because it is kind of a stretch, but who knows, maybe it is making their QB's second guess themselves.

On a side note, fuck Minnesota and fuck their judge for overturning the Williams' suspension, that's bullshit.

Crayton has that on lockdown. He's one of the few people who don't have a question mark surrounding him in this training camp.

I think Roy will be worth the trouble we went through to get him. But you have to remember that the key to most of our offense will be how much they use the Dash, Bash, and Tash connection in the backfield. Especially Felix Jones because you line him up in the backfield with Barber, then move him out into the slot, and suddenly the defense has to worry about 4 potential receivers and the possibility of a run attack.

Dash, Bash, & Tash? Did you just coin that or is that a Dallas radio show thing? If that catches on I'm ending my life.

That Dash, Bash and Tash is quite catchy, I hope it catches on across America, way better than the Giants Earth, Wind and Fire last year.

If Wilfork shows up to camp on a mission to show the NFL that he is the best nose tackle in the game, the Pats will cruise to 13 wins, probably more.

I can't take credit. I think one of the website writers first mentioned it and he got it from one of the scouts or something. I think it fits. And it'll probably catch on. Expect Aikman to use it liberally.

Just another reason to loathe Dallas, but you can't be surprised coming from the franchise that dubbed themselves "America's team".

People need to stop with the smash and dash nicknames, its so overused already =/

Steve Smith first christened DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart with "Smash and Dash" then it was LenWhale White and Chris Johnson.

Now the cowboys backs? lol.

I don't see the effectiveness of having an enchanter as a back. Lowering magic resist on your opponents is not going to help much, I don't think. You won't even have time to cast a second spell to make use of it. Bashing and Dashing still seems to work fine.

If only he was named Crashard Choice.

But seriously, 2-3 running back systems seem to be the best way to go. Getting a fresh, even if a slightly less talented runner hasn't hurt anyone except the 1st string RB's fantasy stats.

Assuming
Dash = Felix
Bash = Barber
Tash = Tashard Choice.

But isn't Tashard pronounced like "tuh-shard", and doesn't that kind of defeat that nickname from working properly?

*cough* NFL Films dubbed the 1979 team that. It was the title of their highlight film. So you can blame Steve Sabol.

I can only pray you're wrong. Crayton is nothing but a mediocre slot guy that contributes nothing on special teams (I don't count his fair catch punt returns).

I'm hoping Miles Austin can step it up this year, or maybe even Sam Hurd. Crayton's 15 minutes of fame for that TD catch against the Skins several years ago is long gone.

I'm really looking forward to this year. I live in Cincinnati and am a tried and true Bengals fan. It's a depressing job, but not all of us Cincinnatians can be Indy fans just because they're the next closest home team. At least we weren't morons at the draft and actually drafted positions we need. If the O-line can give Carson more than half a second to make a play we might have a .500 record again this year! The AFC North just sucks, though. The hate for the Steelers runs strong because they're just too fucking good. I have no idea how Roflburger manages to pull off half the shit he does. Dude has a 67% luck rate or something. "Oh shit I'm getting tackled! Maybe if I throw the ball with my left hand under-handed while falling and facing the wrong direction someone will catch it! Oh sweet! I just got a touchdown!"
