| HAHAHA Can you believe it? At this point, the Bengals have a much better future than the Redskins. Remember Skins fans, before there was a Dan Synder there was Mike Brown.

| Manning's trends aren't anything new. Pretty much every record Favre has broken recently all but had a caveat saying "...until Manning surpasses it". Will Manning go down as the greatest athlete at quarterback, especially in the modern era? Absolutely. Will he go down as the greatest quarterback? Probably not, unless he gets more deep playoff victories - Brady and (it shocks myself to say), at this rate, Roethlisberger have the edge as "winners". Unless, of course, the Colts get down to business and go 19-0 this season, sticking a stake through the heart of Belichick. Isn't that something we all (outside of Boston) can get behind? |

| Fuck Jim Kelly... I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd rather never make it to the big game EVER than lose it 4 in a row. Fuck Jim Kelly and the Bills of the 90s... Just plain fuck all of them. Best losers??? Absolutely... Something was obviously missing from that team if they couldn't close the deal even once. Steve Young did what they say can't be done today, he replaced an incredible QB and continued the winning. My hat's off to him and Montana, espeically with all that concussion craziness that was going on he played through. There's only "1" winner EVERY FUCKING YEAR. If you don't have a shot at actually winning the BIG game you have to make changes. If I coached Manning I would humble him and find a way to make him value the team more than himself. Of the 5 QB's you listed which of those teams had the same run at the playoffs every year? The Bills did and I already said obviously somthing was missing... The 49ers did great with Steve Young as QB and they won when they made it to the big game. The only loss I recall fo rthe 49ers in the playoffs was when they played Greenbay @ Greenbay. It was cold and snowing iirc, and ofcourse they lost but it was close. I don't think Greenbay or Warren Moon (4 teams played for) or the Dolphins had a consistently good team like the Colts have had over the years. Colts defense has always been suspect imo even in their best years but the offense always racked up plenty of points to compensate until a great team dominated Manning defensively.

| We bawlin boi! | What a bunch of shit, sorry but you just look like someone who has some personal grudge. He won a Super Bowl, and has never had an all world defense, which is much easier to win a championship with.

| Brilliant! | The only thing the Bills lacked was a clutch kicker. Otherwise we'd be talking about a 1-3 Super Bowl team instead of an 0-4. Also, as Genj just said, it's hard to win the big game without a good defense. The Bills had a decent defense but it's obvious that they couldn't handle the schemes that New York, Washington, and Dallas threw at them. Hell, the New York offense controlled the ball for over forty minutes. If the Bills make one or two more stops than the did, we're not even looking at a game winning FG. They've won the game. Still, you're right that they missed something. It's difficult to pinpoint what because of how much they dominated the AFC for three of those four years (4th year was a fluke, Houston threw that game). |

+26 Internets | Oh Akileese, how we've missed thee. Anyway, to the point of the Bills, they did run into some pretty epic fucking teams. The balance of power, pre salary cap was definitely in the NFC's favor, especially considering that the 49ers still had an insane amount of talent, challenged each year that Buffalo made it, and still failed themselves. That's not all on Jim Kelly. |

+6 Internets | Yeah I think the NFC won 13 straight Super Bowls or something. The 49ers, Cowboys, Packers and Giants (for a couple years in the early 90's) just had way too much talent in the 80's and through the mid nineties. We used to joke that the NFC championship game was the real title game because the NFC was somehow leagues ahead of the AFC year after year. |

| Brady is outstanding, but he's never been in Manning's class. He won three Super Bowls with an outstanding defense and the best coach of his generation. Peyton has won 12 games a year with a mediocre to terrible defense and a coach whose idea of flexibility was flipping his undersized rush ends while he dropped back into his zone. The fact that the Patriots nearly won their division last year without Brady shows you just how good Belicheck is. If you flip teams Manning is probably a five time SB winner and Brady is just a very good player on a middle of the road team.

+58 Internets | I think he's likely the best QB who has ever played, only others in the discussion to me is Montana and Marino imo. Then again Marino doesn't have a ring so Cathan probably thinks he doesn't even belong in the hall. |
