I think it's you who needs to book up. The reason his name was 'cleared' was because the case was intentionally buried by the Spanish legal system. You don't find 100 bags of blood and a list of cyclists names just for Ivan Basso.

Why do you think Contador refused to supply his dna to prove that none of the blood was his own?

Edit-

You need to get your facts straight. They only started testing in some sports for EPO in 2000, but it was used well before that. Sorry, but just because cyclists weren't tested and caught until recently doesn't mean they didn't blood dope before.
Also, EPO didn't exist over the counter until after LeMonds last tour win (1990). I have no idea why you're arguing my point that LeMond couldn't have used EPO. EPO is the only performance enhancing drug that means anything realistically. I'm not talking some cortico rubs. EPO is the real shit.

Stay classy Alberto...

"My relationship with Lance Armstrong is non-existent. Even if he is a great champion, I have never had admiration for him and I never will," the 26-year-old Spaniard admitted.

Lance's rebuttal:

Quote:
"Seeing these comments from AC. If I were him I'd drop this drivel and start thanking his team. w/o them, he doesn't win." He added: "A champion is also measured on how much he respects his team-mates and opponents. You can win a race on your own, not a grand tour."

I personally hope Lance kicks his ass next year now.

to be fair lance is a gigantic douche bag as a person. mix of being highly competitive + fame, but still, douche none the less. problem is AC is one as well. you can't combine them like the super twins for one ultimate douche.

Yeah, you won't find many elite athletes that are super nice guys. Being extremely competitive is a personality trait that leads to both sports success and douchiness.

Lance did finally suck it up to his credit though and lead Alberto up Mont Ventoux among other things. There was always going to be the one or two fights in the race that they had to butt heads on to determine the #1 guy. Lance took the loss like a man I thought and did everything in his power after that to help Alberto. To say what Alberto said is classless and I think he's just butthurt over that a lot of Astana will be on Team Radio Shack next season especially Bruyneel going over there. We'll how well he does without most of Astana helping him next year.

All this shit will just make 2010 TDF that much better in the end. It might be one of those things that makes people forget about the rampant doping a few years back.

I hope Armstrong comes back next year in even better shape. With a full team pulling him and a year to try to get the climbing acceleration back he could come back even stronger next year. I hope he can shut Contador down.

It's going to be Team Armstrong vs. Team Contador vs. Team Schleck next tour, I can't fucking wait.
