Joe Sakic getting the cup, refusing to lift it, and handing it off to Ray Borque.

YouTube - Ray Bourque

I'm tearin' up now remembering it.

Less tear-worthy but burnt into my brain, after a lifetime of being at the bottom looking up...to get back to the big dance and start off like this; Favre's opening pass to Rison to start Super Bowl 31. Watching that one go the distance and seeing the look on his face as he went running up the field screaming his fool head off, I knew we were winning that game.

Of course, this was long before he turned into the retire-flopping asshat he is now.

I approve. Was so happy to see the Bucs win, not to mention the two games before/after that -- beating Philadelphia in the last game at their old stadium and the first game in their new stadium. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth in Philly after that...

That UT/USC game might be the most enjoyable football game I've ever watched. I'm a huge Young/UT fan, still hoping Vince bounces back somehow

I graduated from UT in 2005, I am a big fan also. However, I've given up on VY, he just isn't mentally tough enough anymore. It is hard to believe that the guy who did so well in the rose bowl isn't even making an impact in the pro's. He hurts the Titans more than he helps.

What the fuck was that? ..some New Zealand style cheerleading?

Anyway...

This is from the first match our national team (Faroe Islands, pop. 48.000) won, against Austria. The goal scorer is a neighbor of mine and it is still the biggest sports related event to happen for us.
We played them again recently and the same trainer as in the '90 game was there, they ended up getting a tie and their trainer quit the team.

NBA play offs Game 5 Lakers/Spurs. Derrick Fishers .4 second shot.

What makes this so amazing is the difficulty of the shot that Tim Duncan made right before that.

Ask most people from Minnesota, especially those in the north and they will tell you this is the most memorable. I think it's at the top as well.

It may not be "real" but as a kid I loved wrestling and I was at Wrestlemania 3 to see this, I to this day still don't ever remember being in a louder sporting event then this when Hogan slammed him, the crowd went totally insane.

Also I would have posted the 1975 Home run Video of Carlton Fisk waving his home run shot fare but I couldn't find one on youtube.

Oh and the Detroit and Colorodo videos are awesome, I don't think we're really seen a rivalry like that in sports since then.
