I'm more surprised that reports surfaced in April of 200-fucking-6 saying Reggie Bush was (allegedly) getting payed to play football at USC, and the NCAA has still not made a ruling on the case. A similar situation with OJ Mayo went down and that has apparently been swept under the carpet as well.

Just to provide some context, I attended UGA during the Jim Harrick basketball scandal and got to see ESPN descend on the campus, shoving microphones into any face they could find. And that was over (essentially) a Phys. Ed. basketball class that was a free ride A. So yeah, I'm pretty fucking pissed at the double standard. Why does it take less than a year for Florida State to get investigated and have wins taken off their record, but USC does the one thing that is sacrilege in college sports and we get a 3-years-and-counting investigation with no end in sight?

Completely agree with you on the SC thing, its like it never happened. Ohio State also had a crusade waged against them a few years back by ESPiN which got out of control.

I've heard the Raji thing a few times. Really how fucking dumb are these guys? I understand it probably won't hurt their draft stock for the most part, but to not be able to put the weed away is ridiculous. I can't even compare it to steroids because while steroids are done at least it's done to increase your performance, weed to jeopardize anything, god I can't get past how dumb people are. Look at how the need to toke helped Ricky.

Honestly, the weed thing is dumber but at least its not destroying the essence of the sport.

Steroids piss me off more because its just flat out cheating. Are there lots of people doing it? Sure, but still doesnt make it "okay". I guarantee there are people NOT doing it and they are the ones being punished.


I think a fair response is to disband all USC athletics! jk :-D

Honestly, I'd love to see the NCAA bring the hammer down on USC. But they won't, because of money. But to assert that USC is the only school where this shit goes on is downright ludicrous.
