Jesus. WVU msg boards are hard to take, I hate most msg boards for all my teams. Steeler fans are probably even worse, and the only thing I will actually agree with is Ben R doesnt get as much love as he should--but my feelings on that are covered in the other thread so I wont go into it. But they say fans around the league always disrespect the Steelers, and I visit tons of msg boards who always talk about how well the team is run, model franchise, etc etc. I just don't see it. Fucking yinzers.

Llistening to WVU fans bitch how we arent respected and are 6-2. God our best win is against a 5-4 East Carolina team from C-USA. Just unreal. I dunno, I think I try and be a pretty objective guy, and am usually harder on my own team which leads to fights with my own. Saying I think WVU might well end up 7-5 or 8-4 at best and people think im batshit insane, and that we have shown we can run the table np. We struggled to fucking beat Liberty week 1, struggled with every team we have played actually.

I swear, 90% of teams msg boards the residing opinion is if another fan from another team posts there you shit on them, and if you are not a homer, then you arent a true fan. Being critical of Bill Stewart draws claws from my fanbase, because apparently being a good guy is more important than being a good coach.....which they argue he is......

Anyways, I should just stick here and argue with you guys instead haha.

Heh nice to see Genjiro made the same argument I was thinking of making last night, but was too lazy to turn my computer on to make. Boise is Missouri/Arkansas, they're not a national championship contender. They're a 4th place Big 12/SEC team playing in a conference with one okay team (Fresno) and 6 nobodies. Nice to see them blow some of their style points. Because you know, when the top teams play crap teams like Louisiana Tech, they blow them out 60-10 like they should. Hell even Auburn blew them out this year 37-13.

Seriously though, my main concern is that we're going to lose people off the staff whose names don't start with a K. If Tuberville goes to Louisville he may come try to take Eddie Gran, and FSU firing the old fart(not that one, the defensive coordinator) might lead them toward Lance Thompson or Ogre. Lane's contract makes it clear he will have more cash for assistants than anyone in the nation, but it's hard to replace those three guys as far as recruiters.

Eh, it hasn't affected TCU, who has had as good a run recently as they have. Or Utah for that matter. TCU in the next 5 years is playing TT twice, Navy twice, Virginia, OU, LSU twice, and then a couple years later Arkansas twice. Maybe Boise should learn from their mid major brothers.

Utah is playing Pitt twice, Oregon, Notre Dame, Iowa State twice and then at the end of the period Colorado and Washington State twice. Who knows if the Buffs or Cougars will be any good 4 years down the road though. They also play Boise twice.

Unless Boise can make a credible case that teams fear them more than they do Utah (who has two BCS bowl wins to their one) or TCU (who is respected year in and year out for their defense) than they really have no case.

But that's the fucking point. Going unbeaten in the SEC or Big 12 and going unbeaten in the WAC is an entirely different matter. Over half of the SEC or Big 12 would in Boise's place go unbeaten in the WAC every year. The WAC's second best team is Fresno State, a team who would be lucky to finish .500 in conference play in any major conference.
