I think thats bullshit too, if you are saying its because they are good and people are afraid of losses. Its everything else that goes along with it is why people dont want to do home and homes with Boise State--but they want it both ways, and they are not going to get many games on their turf.

Oklahoma Sooners Football Future Schedules

Virginia Tech Hokies Football Future Schedules

(playing boise in maryland)

Ohio State Buckeyes Football Future Schedules

etc etc

There are TONS of teams who will play Boise, there is really little to no incentive to actually play @ Boise though. To say otherwise is silly, because those teams (+ tons I did not list) have bigger games than Boise on them year in and year out.

Reasons why Boise is not attractive (for home and homes especially):

1) Recruiting that area...its fucking Idaho. Being able to go cross country to play USC in an area rich with recruits justifies the trip because your other coaches are hitting up those kids.

2)Expensive: for most good teams, the majority are midwest or most are east coast: its a long trip out there, and even moreso if you do shit like bring your band etc. You need more reason than just to give the little guy a shot. That is a big part in the athletic budget, its insanely expensive.

3.) You schedule Boise State as an AD 5 years down the road, and theres a good chance they suck and Chris Peterson is maybe long gone for some other bigtime job. Egg on your face. The bigger traditional powerhouses that have been very good year in and year out is a smaller risk for little tv exposure and what not. Nobody has a crystal ball (see us vs Auburn, ranked high when we scheduled them, and vice versa--we play finally and both of us are unranked), but some schools tradition alone draws ratings and viewers.

LOL at retards thinking they should be ranked ahead of an undefeated team WHO ALREADY BEAT YOU.

Fucking ridiculous.

I don't care who the fuck else you beat, you lost to a team. That team has a better record than you. That team, by all logic, should be ranked ahead of you.

I'm glad USC got blown out and all, and I'm 110% positive Oregon is going to leap Boise, but come the fuck on. Don't try to downplay it like that game didn't fucking count. If you played Boise again I'd give them an even chance to take you behind the woodshed yet again.

It was the FIRST fucking game. Worn out? You had 8 months to prepare and rest for that game.

Plus before tonight people would've had no problem with USC in the title game with their 1 loss, despite their loss being to a team that didn't win a game last season. If who you beat matters so much, who you loss to should matter just as much

To echo Genjiro again. Boise played one good team and 11 crap teams. Oregon is playing a bunch of tough teams and only one cupcake. One game doesn't decide a season. It doesn't matter anyway. Title game is UT and Florida and I don't think anything is going to stop that from happening.

Excuse me?

Team A beats Team B. Team A is undefeated. Team B is ranked ahead of Team A. And this makes sense to you?

Mind explaining what the fuck you think is so 'retarded'?

Florida got into the title game last year with a loss to a worse team at home. Boise despite undefeated didn't reach the title game. Any logic that says losing to an undefeated mid major on the road is worse than losing at home to a much lower ranked team is a bit puzzling. The thing here is that it's not really just Oregon versus Boise. It's the overall glut of zero loss and one loss teams at the top of the rankings. No one thinks Boise ranks up there because of their competition. And I'm fucking glad they do, because if they all followed what you people are saying here then the Big 10 model would rule for all. Be like Penn State, schedule fucking jokes OOC and win the conference and you're set. Be happy with the national title games that result in 60-10 blowouts as Florida or UT beat the shit out of the Broncos.

People just rub Boises cock. Oh you poor little WAC team, give me a fucking break.

Ok Ham, let me say it this way. Pretend Texas played the same schedule as Boise State. Would we be listening to Todd McShay today go on and on about how impressive Texas looked waxing the shit out of San fucking Jose State like he did for Boise today? Fuck no.

Every talking head in the country would be saying, "wake me up when Texas plays someone" and you damn well know they would.

Because Team A played 10 other cupcakes while Team B played a top ten schedule in the country? I mean it should be pretty obvious. What do you think Boise's record would be in the SEC or Big 12 or Pac 10?

It doesn't matter what their record would be. They can only play the games they are scheduled.. and what did they schedule? Oh look at that! Oregon.. and they won...

And they scheduled Miami of Ohio and Bowling Green. Should have tried harder, better luck next year.

The only reason Florida was stinking it up lately was Tebow was clearly only 75% back from his concussion. The Tebow you saw today is the Tebow we know and hate. He'll do more inspirational ra ra praise Jesus BS and we'll be subjected to it again and again as they reach the title game again. You know, I know it, everyone knows it.

So you are saying strength of schedule is meaningless. Gotcha.
