| Yea and I also know what the ducks play like so.... Moen beating on him is NOT fine. If you complain about Ott checking neidermayer, which was far from vicious, because the game is over, then is the goalie cheap shotting him and another enforcing coming in to wail on him after the cheap shot fine? Did I miss the part where neidermayer put a skirt on and needs to be protected from cross checks that crosby might cry about? |

+3 Internets | You must not play hockey either. He was cross checking him pretty fucking hard in a place where he knows there's no pads so it would hurt. He was trying to do that to the Ducks captain and one of the best players in the league with 3 seconds left on the clock. He knew what he was doing because he does it every game. If gigure, neidermayer, and moen had jumped him for no reason then I would understand what your saying, but you obviously never played hockey and don't really understand it. |

| Oh let's not start this! If it wasn't for my knee, I would have neen the next Alexander Mogilny! haha yea I played/play, from street to high school and then with the older crowd leagues and renting rinks with my friends, though that has been a few years. Why you gotta question my ability? I live in Buffalo, I am 25% Canadian just from all the beer I've drunk. Damn. Although I do find it funny that someone from So. Cal is telling me about the sport. How do you feel about ice fishing? That was a fairly weak cross check, honestly, and the league this season (as I commented back a few times ago) has taken a pretty blind eye to defensemen cross checking in front of the net, so if an offensive player does it it doesn't bother me. 2 minutes for a hard one sure, but that wasn't hard! Come on man. And even if it was, that's a ridiculous response. Your goalie takes a cheap shot, then Moen comes over and instead of just knocking him down goes all gung-ho fighting someone with a hand injury? Dude, your team is dirty. Just get down with it. |

+3 Internets | ok so you should know what Ott was trying to do then. Do you think any team in the league is going to take letting a guy like steve ott do that to their captain? It's like fucking with a goalie, you know what's going to happen if you do it. |

+66 Internets | Meh, I'm with Spitz here. Anaheim is a dirty team and has been since Burke came in there. That's just the vibe he likes his teams to play with. The whole Steve Moore fiasco falls in my opinion directly on his head. So no, I'm not going to defend Ott for gouging Moen's eye, but it's bullshit the way he was jumped by the whole team. He's an agitator, fucking deal with it. |

| Not to beat a very old dead horse but I don't see how Burke had much of anything to do with the Steve Moore fiasco. It was Bertuzzi being crazy and a lot of bad luck that a gloved punch to the head knocked him out. Bertuzzi has that single heinous dirty act against him in his career, he wasn't a dirty player before or after so I don't see how it's Burke's fault it happened. I don't understand how Ott could "accidentally" gouge someone's eyes out as he claims, that's a pretty deliberate act. Ott's a pest himself and should realize he's going to tick people off every so often and have to pay the consequences, especially after he crosschecks another team's Captain who's pretty much universally respected throughout the league as being a good guy. |

| You seriously need to stop being such a flagrant homer, complaining about every little thing that goes wrong with your precious Ducks. Here's the bottom line. The NHL isn't going to suspend someone for a ton of games based on a single eye witness. The only reason he got 1 game at all was because the limited evidence available can be made to support the claim, and Ott has a history of doing stupid shit. |

+10 Internets | It's not like you know how bad the ref said it was, suspensions lengths always seem semi arbitrary. Anyways, bring on the trade deadline. Should be an interesting one even though the wings probably won't be adding anyone. |

+3 Internets | A few big names have been placed on waivers today most likely to make cap space for trades at the deadline. Morrison from the Ducks most likely means Pronger will be dealt tomorrow. Where? I don't think the Ducks even know yet. I still hope it's kessel from Boston.
