| NFL, who's gonna win? I fucking hate'em but NE Patriots *EDIT* no actual poll, we know who everyone is here and where they stand if they can really believe what they say in other threads. Last edited by Jooka; 08-26-2008 at 12:04 AM.. |

| We bawlin boi! | As much as this tears pieces of my soul, I'd have to pick Dallas right now. They are improved over last season, NE showed its age on defense and lost good players like Asante Samuel. Defense wins championships, and all the Randy Mosses in the world won't save you when there are guys in your QBs face like the Giants had in the SB. Dallas also now has probably the best O line in football. Dallas over NE in the SB

| Patriots fan here and I am nervous. I know it's only preseason, but man we looked sketchy against the Eagles this past weekend. Do I think that Bill and the coaches can work more magic? Yes. Will I be surprised if we have a big letdown from last year's performance? No. |

| I am going to say Giants, given that I am a lifelong Giants fan. I know the odds are against a team doing it twice, but can anyone honestly say they thought the Giants would win the SB way back in week 1 of last year? I mean, we lost Tiki, who the season before, had put up half the offense of the team in some games. I know teams get dismantled after SB wins, but in this case, its not like we had a ton of talent anyway.

| All the Giants had last year is their defense, and thats screwed to high heaven now unless they drop 10-12 mil on Strahan to lure him back from the beach in Greece. If they don't get Strahan back they are 3rd in the NFC behind Dallas and Philly. Dallas vs San Diego, Dallas wins. |

| I am interested in seeing the Patriots first couple of real games to see how well the bounce back from that extremely humiliating loss. If they come back in force then it will be them. If not then it's a toss up as far as I'm concerned. In the NFL its any given Sunday....

| Any given Sunday and all that, but to be honest, the Cowboys and the Patriots are the most likely to end up in the Superbowl. Have you seen the Patriots' schedule? It would take a full on collapse for them not to have the #1 seed in the AFC. And the only team Jet Favre hurts is the Bills; I could now see NY winning one or both of their games and knocking the Bills out of their wildcard slot. On the NFC side, my logic is simpler: who else? I know everyone is nuts about the Vikings, but the last game I saw of theirs, the Packers absolutely stuffed them. Sure, I expect them to win their division, but then to win 3 straight playoff games (with the draw the NFC North has, they aren't getting a bye) with not having been in the playoffs for ~4 years? Forget it. (Lets be honest, the Vikings only won two games last year against quality opponents: the Chargers & the Giants, when both those teams were in rough patches. The Vikings will be better, but not Superbowl better.) Sure, Seattle will be in the playoffs, possibly up to the NFC Championship game, but does anyone think they have the advantage over the Cowboys? So yes, I expect to see the Patriots win by 10 points over the Cowboys. Hopefully the 2009 season will be better. |

| Although I am not a Chief's fan, I have fond memories of going to company events and sitting in the box seats. Going to Arrowhead Stadium sure is fun and the fans sure love their team, regardless of how they suck.

| Cowboys will have another disappointing exit from the playoffs, count on it. The Patriots are the most likely perrenial team to make it but I expect the actual matchup to be between surprise teams. Chargers are going to have a let down year. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Seahawks make it back this year for the NFC, they've got ground game again and some sick recievers with a very underrated QB. AFC-wise, I am expecting a shocker team. Pats may win a bunch of regular season games but they've lost a lot of key players that will hurt them when it counts. Jags and Titans can both be dangerous, depending on which QB wants to step up and actually fulfill their potential.
