What I think their intent is, is to test the will of the club itself. So many of these clubs have large debts. Imagine a £135 million pound bid for Ronaldo even if he didn't want to leave, the club could very well want that money and choose to sell him. That I think is their aim. And they have the money to back it up. | |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | ADUG has enough money to pay off the collective debts of pretty much every team in the premiership and still buy a top 8 Starting XI. These guys are fucking filthy rich. That being said, it's kind of annoying how people are saying rich ownerships and rising transfer prices are going to kill the sport. As an American, this shit has been going on stateside for the last 5-10 years and while baseball had a bit of a lull, the sport is making money hand over fist. Now, the big difference is that club owners operate within their means and don't try to grossly exceed them by going hundreds of millions of dollars into debt. On top of that, they actually have time to develop their young talent at affordable prices (without them demanding pay rises every 6 months). People got up in arms when Abramovich took over Chelsea and they're doing it again now. I think the sport as a whole will be just fine as long as these massive debts don't continue to rise at an alarming pace. |

| People need to remember alot of these so called statement of intent is just the press making shit up it happens every single time there is a rumor of a take over or there is a take over. At the moment Newcastle are being linked with a invester from Dubai I will bet my bottom dollar that if it does happen there will be reports of Newcastle trying to sign a Kaka, Ronaldo, Drogba, Messi, or a player of that level |

+8 Internets | Who knows. Those arabs at Man City have around £400 billion, that sort of money you can make statement of intents just out of pure fun and then go and do it anyway out of boredom.

| Hell yes. Liverpool with an impressive victory over ManU. First time in 4 years. What makes it more sweeter was Torres was out and Gerrard was in for only 22 minutes. Go reds. Great day, and worth waking up at 6am. This Chelsea ManCity game was good. Add that to CFC winning the last 21 games in a row now lol. Robinho sucking thumb is golden lol. That kid is going to be awesome. Man City is going to be a great team. They need to mature a little bit and watch them explode. Robinho needs to practice on just blindly passing to the opponent. Arsenal destroyed Blackburn. Not much to say about that game. All in all a great day for soccer.

| Newcastle fans are fucking idiots pure and simple. They want too much say on what is going on in the board; they are half the problem to what is going wrong with Newcastle. Every new manager they get is compared to Big Kev, they don't give them a chance they have a few bad results and start protesting for the manager to get sacked. Sam Alladyce would have done a good job for Newcastle but the fans never liked him or wanted him there. He would have got them a trophy and he would have got them in Europe with there average players they have. That is a key point as well if you look at the Newcastle team they are not that good they have very average players apart from Owen, Martins, Given rest are average premiership players but every Newcastle fans think they have a team capable of winning the premier league they are delusional. I am not saying a board should not listen to their fans but if you listen to them all the time like what happens in Newcastle then you are always going to fail. They need to get a decent manager and stick to him for a few years the whole director of football thing does work and if I was a Newcastle fan over the past 5-6 years the amount of money that has been spent on pure shit I would want a director of football their to oversee transfer to make sure the money is being spent well. |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Allardyce spend like £55m in the fall transfer window and brought in the likes of Joey fucking Barton. The guy spent a lot of money and that club was in the bottom 5 in the table for a good portion of the season. For any club to send that much money on shit players and convicts, you better get a result. The fans are a bit of the problem, but Mike Ashley is a fat fucking cunt. The best thing for Newcastle right now is to sell the club. |

| Don't judge us on Blackburn who are no real threat to us without Brad Friedel and David Bentley. If you judge us on any 1 game let it be the Chelsea one! We look good now but one key injury in March and we could repeat last year's throw away. I think Wenger made a great move picking up Silvestre by for now but next year when it's crunch time and have to rely on a backup like Senderos...grrr. Now if he only did the same in midfield and forward parts of the pitch. |
