Right now, two friends and I are on the 9th day of P90X. I'll let you know how it goes. My first official weigh in was at 163 lbs and 12.5% body fat. I'm looking to get rid of my belly fat and love handles (only two places on my body I store any amount of fat) and rip up my abs. We took before pictures and I'll post pictures at 30, 60, and 90 days.

You can't blame women for what they do wrong in the same way that you can't blame a dog for what it does wrong.

My goals for the contest are to drop 10lbs, and hopefully not lose too much muscle. I think i weigh in at 222lbs at 5'10" or there abouts. I imagine that I am somewhere around 20% BF. It's been a while since I've had a body caliper test though. Planning on cardio for 30 mins a day minimum 5 days a week, and strength training 4 days a week. I know the cardio seems weak but it is much more than i typically do.

Sorry about the blurriness on this photo, but obviously the circle is well, bad.

Would like to lose some fat and build some muscle. Not sure on a specific weight-loss goal.

This is me as of 07/07/2008. Trying to get between 10-15% bodyfat. I'm skinny as hell, but I've had some liver tests come out suspicious so I've decided to lose this flab that I've had for over 6 years.

I'm in as well. Could really use the motivation to lose the weight I've gained in the last year or so, and definitely need to put on some muscle.

Well I caught a pretty serious cold over the weekend, and I was enraged that I couldn't go to the gym because of it...

but I still managed to lose 2 kilos in 2 days because of the cold... awesomesauce!

also not healthy I don't think, but remember, your weight fluctuates around 2 lbs naturally, so you need to keep it off for longer to know if you've actually lost it or not. A healthy rate to lose weight is about 2lbs a week.

I am down for sure

basically my workout routine consists of getting my ass beat at Muay Thai, running, and doing some body weight exercises.

Got the pictures but left the fricken cable at my parent's house... so, tomorrow.

As for routine goes, doing a minimum of one hour of cardio per day, and lifting weights on a whim... pretty often, but no real schedule to adhere to, just kind of doing whatever I have energy / feels right.

Biggest change for me has been to stop the binge eating, I would down ridiculous amounts of junk food in short periods before this competition started... haven't done that since Friday though.

Yay for healthy peer pressure.

you guys should really run these things for longer than 5 weeks. for people who have never done any sort of weight training it will take at least 5 weeks to see any significant results. and for the people trying to lose weight it is a lot harder to keep the weight off than to lose it in the first place. just start an ongoing body improvement thread. that way people can see the results other people are getting and use it as motivation for themselves.

It's a good start, not necessarily supposed to be a full blown lets get ripped as fuck competition.

I started in January... just took a 2 weeks break from lifting 3-4 times a week. I have seen pretty damn good results and the first "comp" really pushed me to continue going. I get a lot of compliments about how much better I like (no longer called scrawny.)

Anyways I went today after my two weeks break and fuuuuccckkkk are my chest and triceps sore. I had such a huge buzz after I got done today. I love that feeling.
