| FoH Body Improvement Competition #2 Since we already had one and i was interested in another along w/ a couple other people I think we should start this up ASAP. Lets start it up Monday so people can enjoy their vacation, and run this bad boy for 5 weeks. That would give us an end date of August 11th. 5 weeks should be plenty of time for people to make a noticeable improvement on themselves. GAME ON! I'll be posting pics of myself tomorrow. |

| If you guys are looking for a workout regimen this is what I use. Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness It's very intense. I love the idea of functional strength. If you keep up with it you'll see noticeable results in appearance and overall strength. They provide daily WOD (Work out of the day) and free videos on how all exercises are done. There are some things you can't do in globo gyms but it's easy to substitute. I'm going into my 8th week and there is a lot for me to learn, but if you guys have any questions feel free to ask.

| A buddy of mine has done that for a few weeks with a couple other people. I'm not a fan, personally. I think it could be useful incorporating it into a workout of your own, but solely using it I think is inefficient. |

| I'd agree, Crossfit is a great training routine, but not sufficient on its own.

Edit: I'll start with the pictures. The fat me is from march 7th (101.7 kilos, 24.0 % body fat), the not-so-fat me is from today (94.6 kilos, 20.1% body fat). Less that 20 kilos to go. I doubt I'll see much in 5 weeks, since all I do is 1 hour of cardio on workdays, and once or twice per week some climbing, but I'm in it for the fun.

| Trust me. Unless you're a gym freak doing the daily workouts for CrossFit will woop your ass. The elite crossfit users do 2 WOD per day. I'm no where near that level. I'm doing most WOD about 18-30 minutes while these guys can do them 8-12. I am generally on the 3 days on 1 day off schedule and sometimes I have to take a 2nd day off. To do a WOD and THEN do other things is extremely tough and can easily hurt your body. I know I've hurt my calves trying to run after a WOD. CrossFit is all about what you put into it. Everything is time based and improving the amount of sets in a time period or decreasing the amount of time it takes to complete a WOD. A lot of it has to do with what you're doing away from the gym. Do you party hard? Eat like a king? These things take away from the overall goal, regardless of your routine.

| 6'1 230ish 13% BF right now.. I'm more into the gaining size and strength then being smaller and cut up. Crossfit doesn't really accomplish my goals aswell as a good workout 4 day split does. I'm cutting currently and have been since I was 255 and 17% BF. Bulk up then cut down to gain lean muscles. I have a fast metabolism so cutting is easy for me, and things like Crossfit only make it even easier to lose those extra few lbs, but they don't help me add overall numbers to bench or squat or what have you.

| I'll be down again. I have more free time to hit the gym and do some real cardio, so I should make some gains this time. I'll have pics up by the end of the weekend all ready to go. Looking to slim down a bit and tone up. 5'11" 190lbs

+3 Internets | Am in. 5'10'' 161 lbs. Looking to tone up, lose 5-7~ pounds. Making this a placeholder until I can get access to a camera. And is it actually going to be a competition this time? It seemed to start off that way last time, but lost steam along the way; get a couple female judges IMO, make things interesting xD Tuco's idea of "* Depending on the entrants we can do biggest loser, most improved, best body, etc." seems logical to me... Hopefully we can work out some sort of actual competition, though. The competitive aspect would add a little extra steam into my routine. |
