Motionbased.com (GPS Training tracker)

This is absolutely awesome. I have a Garmin Summit HC (no heartrate) and MB has a plugin that directly pulls plots/tracks from your GPS and uploads it into your profile. The free subscription keeps up to 10 "events", and the premium keeps all of them, plus adds some slick playback tools. Here's my profile:

I only have a couple of events in there now, two are my commute to work to compare distances, and three are from my motorcycle. When you add a new track, you select what type of activity you're doing (cycling, running, epic pogo stick journey, etc) and it gives you shitloads of stats, graphs, etc. You can export it to google earth/maps too.

Here's a ride I did the other night. I didn't bother editing out the stops, and while I ride like a human being on roads anyhow, it's still a bit borked because your average speed is calculated with zeros in there for things like stop signs. As a pure training tool I think it'd be a lot more accurate/useful, mostly I'm just graphing everything right now because I'm a total geek for shit like this.

And tonight's ride chart:

Exported to Google Earth:

I went with the premium subscription since I ride a lot, and don't run/cycle enough. Hopefully this will inspire me to get out a bit more on the cardio side. I definitely plan on upgrading my GPS to something like the Edge 305 for heartrate in the future too. What's also slick is that you can share your tracks with other MB users, so that if I go out and find a sick set of twisty backroads, I can pass it on to my buddies and they can follow my routes. (Same goes for running/cycling trails, etc).

I did a search, didn't see any thread on this and figured it was worth sharing for you runners/bikers. This kicks the shit out of my excel spreadsheet.
