+20 Internets | Yeah they're debateable but they aren't being fined. And because you mentioned something that has little resemblance (foul calls, versus flop calls where a fine is given out), I must not watch sports. |

+24 Internets | Pinch Shooter. Shaq gets fouled more than 3 times consecutively, a replacement shooter can be chosen.

+5 Internets | They just need to enforce intentional fouls for the Shaq thing. I'll never understand how Jacque Vaughn can sub in, walk over to a referee and tell him he's going to foul Shaq, and then not be called for an intentional when he does it. Unless the NBA changes the meaning of the word "intentional", to me what they were doing was obviously intentional. |

| Screw that, get rid of free throws period. Go over the limit, instant two points. Foul on a shot and they miss, instant points, they make it +1 instant points. A penalty should never be "good" or be involved in strategy to come back in the last 2 minutes by making the game slow, boring, and mind numbing. Oh, get rid of foul limits while you're at it...and make jumping into an airborn defender's space an offensive foul.

+3 Internets | Uh, a flagrant foul (of the lower order) has been constantly defined as a non-basketball play and an intentional foul. So why not just adhere to this in adjudicating hack-a-shaq type situations? |

| Pride Never Die | Eh, you can get Yellow Carded in Soccer for flopping I thought.

A fine is worthless, i mean 10K$ when you make 1 Million a year ? 1 or 2 FT + Keep the ball => best remedy against flops PS : anyone else finding that the NBA has "pussified" ? | |

| How are they going to legaly do this anyway. sounds like BS to me. Flops are just part of B ball. Been like that for awhile now.

| whens the last time you saw a charge called when the defender did not fall down? want to fix flopping? fix the refs...thats where it started. so stupid to see shaq have to fall down when a 6' guard drives the lane just to get a charge foul called. oh and yellows are handed out for flopping in soccer as often as traveling is called in the NBA.
