| Need energy for workouts I started working out 6 times a week for the last three months. Was on a great diet, lots of water, protein, vitamins, glutamine, garlic. Now when I hit the gym im not motivated. I need something to help give me energy. What are my options for something that helps with energy and muscle gain? |

| That is a mental problem I would say. Everyone has to kick their ass to train. If its physical fatigue, you could try drinking some fruit juice pre-workout. Also have a pre-workout whey drink. I wouldn't support using stimulants to get motivation for the gym, thats the wrong route to go. Also 6 times a week for a natural? Id say slice some days off there. Cut 1-2 days off imo. Whats your age?

| Desx I had the same problem for awhile. Just cut it down to 5 days a week. Take the weekends completely off,it helps alot believe it or not. You get muscle gain from rest and feading your muscles protein when it needs it ,which is every 3 hours. Eat some carbs if you can as well. If your still in college try to work out in the mornings. How many meals are you eating a day?

| You really didn't provide a lot of information. Whether you believe its a mental thing or a physical thing. We don't know your routine or what kind of training you do, but 6 days is too much either way. Your central nervous system actually needs recovery time. Eat more of course as mentioned above. But I assume you already know the basics.

| Its a mental thing. The motivation you had the first months is now gone. Set a system of goals. Achieve certain weight lifting milestones. Try to have fun in your workouts. See it more as spending time in the gym. Also include some high cardio exercise as part of your routine. Racketball, basketball. Dont do weights only mix it up. =) |

| Best thing you can probably do is get one or more friends to lift with you. It will make your workout take longer, but it's a shit ton easier to go when you have a couple people to shoot shit with while you're cooling down or whatever. |

+20 Internets | You're working out exactly twice as much as you should. If you're trying to build mass and power, a proper day of exercise should require 6 days of rest. Meaning if you blast your chest monday... don't work chest again until monday. It's no wonder you're fatigued after just 3 months. I am a certified trainer and I've worked out with guys who are in the 1900lb club (300 bench, 800 squat, 800 dead), and they don't train a lift more than oncea week. I am sure you won't listen to me, and most people here will argue with me, but if you want better gains and more energy and commitment, do your same routing, but only on MWF.

If you were just plain trying to lose weight then your routine would make sense (albeit not very healthy), but that obviously is not the case.
