| what i mean is anything could happen. wells could get injured. if something like that happened, would really hurt. or ginn going out on the 1st pla--oh wait! carroll is a great coach. so is tressel. both have talent, but we have experience. that SHOULD lead us to victory, injuries, drug tests, and whatever else not withstanding. |

| 08 Your still bringing up the call in the '02 game? It was the right call. Secondly, you know how many times Miami got away with blatant holding during the game, its was absolutely ridiculous! I'm not talking about the holding that happens every game that dosen't get called, this was straight up blatant jersey ripping off. If you wanna talk about a bad call why don't we talk about how in regular time at the end of the 4th quarter Ohio State clearly got a first down that would have allowed them to basically seal the game and the refs marked it horribly about 1 or 2 yards from the first down marker. Check out this link, BUCKEYE FANS ONLY: Not Called 2003 Fiesta Bowl Theres even better examples out there that I just cant find atm. |

so, the ONLY way to judge a team is by consistency. it doesn't matter what teams you think would assrape another. the point is they lost to a shitass team that they shouldn't. that's why they don't deserve to go. osu has been probably the most consistent team over the past 3 years, losing only to nc or big bowl participants. it's about your record over the entire season. can a team look back at that record and say, we did our best every game, and we deserve a shot. NO team last year could say this, not even osu. it's just that osu had the BEST argument for going. that's the bottom line. Quote:

| Should have stopped there. Most consistent powderpuff conference winning, big game losing team of the last 3 years.

Not like you when you lose tour superstar widereceiver claim that you laid an egg. And when and cry and look at that for an excuse. What Um did in that game is testicualr fortitude, something your team seems to lack lately. Last edited by lendarios : 04-20-2008 at 05:14 PM. | |

| We bawlin boi! | I think the point was, OSU doesn't really show up as a #2 team after the NC game is over, they look like a 5-10 ranked team instead at best. I doubt anyone would pick OSU to go far in something like a 16 team playoff other than OSU fans after the past couple trips behind the woodshed to get beaten silly by the SEC. LSU, WVU, and USC at the end of the year manhandled their BCS competition, and any of those two matched up would have been a much better game. Fuck UGA, sorry but win your conference, and Hawaii with their schedule ranked behind every Division I team and like 20 Division II teams doesnt really count as much. And once again, yes, I would much rather have a hiccup game where you fucked up on one team in the regular season than to get fucking embarrassed off the field when you have over a month to prepare for one team. There is no excuse for that other than poor coaching, inferior players, or both. Tressel got beaten not even by Les Miles, but by Bo Pellini that game all on his own. After a couple quick scores, OSU did nothing the entire rest of that game on offense except get some garbage points and an int return or some shit iirc. Sweater vest I think is a classy guy, but OSU looked dumbfounded and didn't make any good adjustments in now 2 national championship games in a row. Our team was fucking smoking after that assbeating we laid on OU, everyones "wahh they should have been in the NC game darling at the end of last season", esp after beating Mizzou there at the end. Anyways, this new spread offense looks really interesting, its basically the spread with a guy in motion from WR to the rb position on just about every play to be a possible reverse that the QB can read and decide on too if he sees the defense cheating. Wake confused the hell out of people with it, and their OC is now our OC, so his patented motion confusion in our spread should be amazing. Pat White if he stays healthy, should have us back in the NC game hunt, and keep an eye this season on our freshman RB Terence Kerns, this kid is a fucking stud. Devine in the spring game looked just as sick as he did last season, I can't wait for next season to start.
