every team is given the benefit of the doubt every time they're voted in. florida, lsu, osu, usc, everyone.

you think lsu "deserved" to go? no. you think osu deserved? i don't; they lost a game. it's just that osu and lsu deserved above the others.

osu deserved to go in 06 however.

Well if OSU's one loss is to USC then obviously yes. It'd be pretty hard justify a 2 loss USC team that lost to OSU getting in over OSU.

look at usc. what bowl game did they win that deserves their praise? the answer is none. you think they're good because espn tells you so.

osu is the more experienced and talented team. but in college, anything can happen just like always. if they play to their potential, usc would be curbstomped. but they could lay an egg. we'll see.

USC plays a much tougher schedule than OSU and still manages to be in a BCS game year after year. So yes.. while the BCS records may be similar the roads travelled to reach them are not similar at all. Ohio's schedule this year was a joke. The Big 10 is not called the little 10 for nothing. They've lost the last 4 BCS games by 14 or more points. That's pretty shitty when you are in the spotlight. Next year is different and we will see how worthy they are once they play USC.

I personally can't stand USC but I can at least respect them. I can stand OSU but I have no respect for them.. in no small part thanks to its fans.

If OSU-Miami is so epic then why can I not even recall a single thing about it? Not very epic. (oh yeah, the 2OT game.. it was a classic for sure, but #1 all time? No.. that would be like me calling last years one of the best ever)

tougher schedule? who? the only tough team they've faced is oregon with dixon. that's it. unless you're talking about those great teams in oregon st., ucla and stanford.. that they lost.

Yes. USC is only good because ESPN tells us they are.. and OSU is only good because you tell us they are. They are the new Notre Dame. Hey did you know ND went to the Sugar Bowl in 2007? They are awesome. They got their asses beat, but they were there! That's about all OSU can lay claim to for the last 2 years as well.
