edit: And that Boise state shit is totally different. It's a 9,000 mile round trip to Hawaii to play a meaningless game vs. a division game at home for Boise in the midst of the season. I think Cincy will come out strong in the Orange Bowl. Last edited by Tea on tuesday; 12-07-2008 at 03:51 AM.. | |

+58 Internets | So because Texas played under a stupid rule they're less deserving all of a sudden, nice. Also love how the media has virtually eliminated McCoy, the guy who did more with less all season long, from Heisman consideration after he has the week off. |

| Heisman voting should happen the week before conf. championship games for that reason. Harrell has dropped off the map, McCoy is now an also-ran while it's coming down to Tebow vs. Bradford. I think that Bradford stole it from McCoy this weekend, but I don't think it should be so.

| That is like saying OU shouldn't fear Florida because they held Mizzou to 21 points while putting up 62 of their own. Different team, different situation. Florida would need way more than 11 on defense to hold OU to 1 yard in a quarter. |

They broke the single season scoring record by almost 50... so far. They still have one more game. They scored 60+ points in 5 straight games which hasn't been done in 89 years. They scored 60 on THREE ranked teams. I know Florida has a pretty good defense, but has anyone they played had an offense like OU? OU did that last night without their number 1 running back. Their 2nd and 3rd string BOTH had 3 TDs. Explain how they will hold them to 17 points?

+58 Internets | Knew it was coming, still completely and utterly disgusted with the system. Wish we could play Alabama. I feel a hangover coming though tbh and since the Voters overwhelmingly (who knows why exactly) made UF the #1 team in the nation, OU beating them will probably be enough for them anyway to avoid a split championship. Still confused how OU isn't ranked above Florida in the human polls actually. Florida's 1 loss = unranked at home to unranked opponent. OU's 1 loss = #3 BCS team on neutral field, oh and it's a rivalry. Big XII = up year, SEC = down year. /boggle, nothing makes sense about any of the polls Last edited by Ham n Cheese; 12-07-2008 at 06:20 PM.. |

| That's the dumbest system ever. Florida does not deserve to be there and Texas beat Oklahoma how the hell does a team you beat, when you guys ended the season with identical records, get to go to the National Championship team over you? I went to UCF and don't really give a shit about any of these teams but it looks to me like Texas got pretty heavily screwed here. It should have been Texas vs Oklahoma (1 vs 2 in the computer polls) and Florida should not be playing in the National Championship game. Texas Tech should have been in the talks as well. Computer Rankings which make sense and take emotion and the idiots out of the equation..... 1) Oklahoma 2) Texas 3) Florida 4) Texas Tech
