Celtics went to how many game 7's this playoff? My thoughts exactly. Maybe they played solid but up until the finals I don't think anyone was impressed by the Celtics. Last edited by Dontauro : 06-15-2008 at 09:37 PM.

| The Lakers are still in it. Sure Boston is good at home but the Celts have been sucking in the 1st quarters and keep giving LA these big leads. Play some D in the 1st quarter. And as for the foul calls. You could seriously call a foul on every single trip down court for both teams. Just call it both ways. I don't see how it's different from college where the refs 99% of the time call an even game. This game seemed pretty even to me btw as far as calls go. The celts were just a bunch of hackers tonight. Play some D don't foul.

I'm blinded by fucking anger that Boston didn't sweep this team and that the entire series outside of game 1 and the 2nd half of game 4 have been utter shit controlled by the whistle happy refs. So just because LA got fortunate enough to win two games in which they got all but the amount of 50/50 calls you can count on 1 hand they're not lucky and they're totally in the series? I don't give a fuck who you beat before you get there. It's all about now and this series. I'm totally at peace with Boston trying to ugly up the finals. It's really not going to stop since that's their strategy (and with LA being a pure finesse team who can't take a punch, this is the absolute logical choice). Also, why for the life of me Doc decided to play Sam Cassell for 3 whole minutes down the stretch when it was clear House or Allen should of been in is beyond me. I thought he turned a corner in game 4, I was dead wrong. His insistence on playing Cassell is going to drive the entire fan base to death by alcoholism or heart attack depending on the age. I really don't think I made an irrational statement in that entire paragraph. All of it, while laced with profanity and possibly improper spelling due to the amount I've drank tonight, is pretty on target. I just want Boston to put this fucking series away. LA was barely able to stave off Boston on their home court and now they hae to go back to the GAHDEN where Boston has dominated them for all but about 4 minutes in two games. I think Boston just ran out of gas tonight. Between the game 4 comeback and this, erasing a 20 point deficit and a 12 point deficit in two different quarters, I think they just crapped out. LA won't get out to that kind of a lead in Boston and if they do, I'm totally prepared to eat my words. edit: Yeah Burke, me and my friend were talking about this. In college, the games are officiated worse than NBA games, but they're usually pretty balanced except for UCLA games. NBA games have a tendency to be very lopsided for the home team and given the current legal bind they're in, I figured David Stern would tighten up on his crews and give them some kind of incentive to call a loose and even game. Boy was I wrong.

| Manny, Manny, Manny | Well, despite them not being able to take a "punch" they are still standing. They may be hurting, but if your in it, there's still a chance. I dont expect them to win, but i dont want them to give up. I still have about 3-6 years for this team to be competing for the Finals. So its all good over on this side of the USA. |

| We bawlin boi! | You just can't pay money for stupid like this. Go out and get drunk again, and come back and apologize to your team. I'd pay money though to see you smash the keyboard like that German kid, like I bet you do when your Boston teams lose. Edit: Nm you're already drunk, god I hope you don't have kids. | Ofcourse the Lakers are still in it, and ofcourse the odds aren't looking great here. Oh well, hats off to Boston really. The Lakers may have the best player (Paul has been pure fucking win though, talk about 48 minutes of clutch each night), but the Celtics just play better together as a team. I'm hoping that both teams can be held together (atleast Kobe/Gasol/Odom for LA and Pierce/Garnett for Boston), this could be a nice rivalry for the next few years. |

| when I was watching the NHL playoffs this year, I couldn't help but wonder what the NBA would be like if players were penalized and had to sit in the box like in hockey then you'd have power plays in basketball! :shock maybe there's a gas leak in my house somewhere, sec |

I just don't see how the Lakers are in it when it takes them getting every 50/50 call to keep them alive and they've been nothing short of awful in Boston.

| And Boston doesn't even get past Philafuckingdelphia without KG. Give it a fucking rest already. Edit: The word is "past" not "passed." Fuck, it was Atfuckinglanta, it's obviously "passed" my bedtime. Last edited by Adam12 : 06-15-2008 at 10:00 PM. |

I'm not so much bitching about it rather than suggesting that with the NBA being in the spot light and the refs having a tendency to call games towards one team, it's probably a good idea to just loosen up the calls. Also, dear god, how many sportscenter updates do we need? Can we get a legal injunction to fucking stop this shit? I want to watch Mike and Mike, not that fucking cunt Sage Steele. Three of them within 25 minutes and two 5 minute + commercial breaks. So I've had one 8 minute Mike and Mike segment in about 30 minutes. Fantastic.
