Lakers-Celtics finals is the leagues dream. Its interesting how the biggest trades over the last year have led to that being very possible. Conspiracy theorists might say the league did have a hand in the trades. Cause the T-Wolves could have gotten more for Garnett and Memphis could have gotten a LOT more for Gasol. But it probably just worked out this way due to McHale's ties to Boston and Jerry Wests Laker-Memphis connection.
Honestly, it's hard to go the conspiracy route when you look at the unmitigated disaster that are my New York Knicks. I'm quite confident there isn't a team in the league that David Stern would rather see be successful, and yet the past decade has been replete with fail.

Perhaps this has all been by way of setting the stage for Lebron coming to New York in 2010.

One can hope.

Grant Hill has to step in to make him pass the ball and he made no effort whatsoever to do so.
I am a huge magic fan. I also love the suns.
I have to admit it will be great having the suns lose in the first round and watching the magic advance. Grant doesn't deserve to win. He should have stayed with the magic for the veteran minimum to make up for the years he was hurt. Grant hill could never play defense, thats why the pistons never tried to keep him.
He would have been usefull to the magic, we need ballhandlers who can bring the ball up court without turnovers. We have players that can cover up for his defensive problems, suns don't.

Why would Hill stay in Orlando when he would be playing behind Turkoglu and Lewis at the 3 spot?

After hill finnally came back after all his injuries, the magic played him at the 2.
Thats is the magics weakness, we have no guards. Jameer nelson would make a great sixth man, but honestly he is too careless at the point to be a starter.
Grant was used many times to bring the ball up the court to set up our offense last year. Bah, on second thought he STILL can't play defense who needs him!

Great games last night. The lakers are cruising and the spurs always win... somehow.

I think Mike Bibby was Boston's best player in Game 1. Asshole couldn't make a shot.

That Suns Spurs game was amazing. I was in a gaming session with my tv on and we all stopped playing to watch the end of the game (These are ppl coming to play D&D, not exactly sports guys =P). Amazing. Can't wait to watch the rest of the games.

Oh, and Denver is hilarious. George Karl should be shot (out of/with?) a cannon for wasting so much talent. So glad we got that #1 seed. Dallas would be a game or two longer for sure.

I don't really blame Karl for anything anymore. That team is a gigantic collection of headcases and douchebags, I dunno how he stays sane.

I'm tired of flops having such impacts on the game. Did anyone just see AK-47 just act like he was raped on the court when Scola put his hand on his chest? Changed the game from tied with 45 seconds to Utah up 5 with 20 seconds

Or better yet, did anyone here Shaq talking about flops? Saying guys acting like they've been shot on the court.

They n eed to make a new rule that if your caught flopping the other team gets a free throw or something. That shit will stop them.
