The car wasn't added later. Like I said, you can see Kobe's shadow on the car, he just happens to be closer to the camera than the car.

Used to see this trick in skate-boarding vids.

It's done in reverse there though, the car is in front.

He was on PTI yesterday and they asked him if it was him that jumped over the car. He compared it to Sly Stallone still doing Rambo at 60 in terms of him doing his own stunts. He kept beating around the bush at the question and pretty much made the point that its Hollywood and he didnt really jump the car.

There's something on the side of the car that might be a shadow, maybe. Post a screenshot if you can catch a "pronounced" shadow.

But before you do that, check out where Kobe's feet are compared to the streetlamp's shadow in this first pic.

Then check out how the car drives over and completely covers the streetlamp's shadow.

It's still fake.

Good point, but I think the car is turning in around him to give that effect. You hear screaching of tires (which shouldnt happen in a straight line) and you can see the front tires are turned in. The car may have been mere inches from him, but still to the side of him, turning in at the end. He jumps forward, car turns in behind him.

The car does turn in. Watch the shadow of the lamp he's standing on. He jumps over the end of the car a little bit, because you can see the back of the car go over the lamp shadow he was standing on.
