+4 Internets | I really do too. That hit is a perfect example of what hockey can be like when it's at it's best. Here's a team down 3-0 vs. one of the hands on favorites to go all the way, and a single heavy hard and clean hit turns the entire game around, and possibly the entirety of the NHL playoffs. |

I agree. I personally think its one of the only sports out there that doesnt rely on one superstar like many sports and you actually need a whole team to win. Soccer is kinda like it, but boring as hell to watch. Marleau did get nailed. Didnt watch the game, but why did the sharks get the power play after that?

Another example of the greatness of the NHL. They can improve an aspect on the game on the fly. Any other sport would have to wait till the off season and be approved by a majority of the owners. This is a great change as Avery was a complete ass. He looked like someone in Pee Wee hockey. Total and complete unsportsman-like.

Oh, I only saw the vid of the hit and then Sarich (sp?) sitting in the box after that. Guess there were some altercations after the hit im guessing which led to some 5 minute majors.

wow complete gayness by the refs allowing that goal off the high stick in the flyers vs caps game. HOW THE FUCK COULD ANYONE POSSIBLY MISS THAT? i hate to buy into the conspiracy theory that the NHL wants the caps to advance to promote ovechkin as the new face of the NHL but calls like that and the bullshit in game 1 make me wonder. of course the fly boys won anyway so i can't complain TOO much but man so far the playoff officiating has been piss poor at best.

I didn't expect the Stars to sweep the defending Stanley Cup champs. THe Ducks played like they were in a must win game and took it to the Stars, but to the Stars credit, instead of saying "Well let's just reload and get ready for game 4" when they were down 4-0, they really took it to the Ducks in the 3rd Period. I think they also out shot the Ducks by double once again.
