This is true, but we do have some vets such as Olie and Fedorov who will provide that steadying force.

Habs vs Sharks in the Cup Finals with the Sharks taking it in 6. No real first round upset other then Nashville taking Detroit to 7 games, which while not an upset might hurt Detroit in the 2nd round.

The Flyers are an underachieving talent packed team. I wouldn't be surprised if they just exploded in the playoffs and trounced everyone. I'm not betting on it though.

I think the 8th place team taking out the 1st team would be considered an upset.

I'm not saying Nashville will win the series at all I am saying they will take Detroit to 7 games which will likely mean Detroit will lose in the second round.

I get it now.

Good to see Calgary taking a 1-0 lead on San Jose already.

Huzzah, go Calgary, everyone in that hockey pool went San Jose and we've got the Kipper (thought he'd be trade bait, no one even picked Iginla until the 3rd round, christ). Even if they run it to 7 games he'll be worth a lot of points. Otherwise, hockey pool wise, I'll be cheering for Montreal, Anaheim, and New York. We have their goalies, Paul Mara (defensemen get points for shutouts and 1 goal games), Chris Higgins, and one more guy I can't remember because I was so hammered.

Highlight of the night: waitresses standing on tables auctioning their panties for $700.

K, watching the VS. feed of the Det game and the camera work is fucking horrid. I'd estimate for the most part, they're doing it zoomed in so much that you can only see about 40 feet of the length of the rink, whereas CBC/TSN/Sportsnet would all be at least 50-60. It also depends on the arena and how high/low the cameras are I'm sure. But seriously, it's some of the worst hockey I've seen on TV. Whether it's a long pass, or a dump in/out, or a shot from the point, the camera loses the puck for a second or two either because he can't follow it, or because the camera moves so slow. It's really fucking bad.

Ducks down 2-0 because they took two stupid penalties and the Stars go 2-2 on those power plays. Still a lot of hockey to play though.

On a little side note, WTF did TSN do to its website? Its such a jumble now I hate it. Cant even find a damn score on the main page anymore.

4 for 7 on the Powerplay. Took the Ducks totally out of their game and Turco was there when he needed to be. I think last year Marty really turned his game around in the playoffs. That's 4 shutouts in the last 8 playoff games.

Ducks were on a constant march to the penalty box last night. Thats something that always kills them when they take stupid penalties in the offensive zone.
