+29 Internets | That's not really true of the Red Wings anymore. They're actually a fairly young team, with the exception of a few guys like Lidstrom and Chelios. I agree though that a lot of their players, especially Datsyuk and Zetterberg, often disappear if you start hitting them. |

+9 Internets | Wings on the whole have actually "young'ed" up their roster quite a bit. And words can't be expressed with how glad I am to see Osgood as our goaltender taking us to the cup, I really hope he keeps his performance up. |

| True, but Datsyuk and Zetterberg wasn't really the ones causing them problems this game. The players that posed the biggest threat were Holström, Kronvall and Franzen etc, not exactly players who will be detered by getting checked. The real differance was that Detroits power play was so much better than Dallas and that their defense failed misserably at keeping the big detroit forwards out of the area infront of the net. Every single one of those goals I'd blame Dallas defense for and not Turco, he played solid as did Osgood. |

| Yeah, Pens dominated most of that game even with the Flyers seemingly getting away with a lot of penalties. It's pretty hard to compete with a team that can roll out Crosby/Hossa on one line and Malkin on the next (I would mention Sykora, but Malkin really is the one carrying that line - he's just becoming dominant). Hossa looked more like his old self in this game (obviously gained some confidence back after the last game), which is not good for the Flyers if he keeps it up. I thought Crosby played pretty badly by his standards, but they didn't need much out of him for this one. If their defense can just not be too terrible, they're going to be extremely tough to beat. |

+29 Internets | True, but that doesn't say all that much for their depth on D. I mean yeah Pittsburgh would be hurt if they lost Malkin or Crosby, but I don't think it would affect them nearly to the same extent. But then again, a defensemen like Timmonen or Lidstrom really does anchor a team to a much bigger extent than any forward does. |

On the other hand, Detroit was hurting back when Lidstrom was hurt during this season. I think it all depends on the team. Some teams depend on certain players and some teams just play a whole lot better with that player, but can make it through without him. | |

| Fucking Stars are just getting their asses handed to them. Can't say I'm surprised since Detroit has completely owned them the last 5 or so years. Hopefully they'll step it up back home and try to carry some momentum back to the evil Joe. |
